Woot! I just molo'd this mob as a 76 monk with a tier 1 cleric merc. It was a hard fight and cleric finished with about 1% mana. I spent a good deal of time stunned. Luckily his dps is not that great. My gear is decent but not uber - fabled earthen fist and fabled oblong seashell, pretty much bazaar geared otherwise, which is not bad these days. About 650AA's. There were moments I thought I might not make it. I kept spamming the heal potion and Clawstrikers hoping for stuns to wear off lol. A good fight and I'm much relieved. One more battle to go for my 1.5!
Grandmaster Bruzza Saurus Dark Redeemers The Rathe
Tried him with my 75 monk {11k HP/2250 AC} unbuffed and 71 shaman. Balance of Discord landed ok after Malo but Turgur's was tough to get on and the shammy ran out of mana at 70%.
With Kragsmash the shammy still had 70% of his mana at the end of the fight.
Windrush says 'You have failed to prove yourself to be true. Be gone from my sight.' He despawned 10 minutes (approximately) after our wipe, so it either triggered off his "I am of the body" version being at 100% hp for too long, or because he hadn't taken any damage in 10 minutes. I FD'd the wipe so I could observe this.
Hm, I don't know how long you fought him before wiping, but here's what I'm seeing today.
Having two-boxed Kragsmash with my 77 monk (about 14k hp, 2200 ac) and 70 cleric, and he's classed as a raid mob, I tried the same duo on Windrush and he handed me my ***. I could probably have kept up with the healing, but I wasn't hurting him faster than he healed. Had a DS for 66 plus my own dps, cleric couldn't get Mark of Blameless to land.
Anyway, after only a couple minutes of this I decided to have the cleric gate out just after one CH, and I'd feign off Windrush, and wait for him to reset or whatever he does. Well, it's been more than an hour since I first went FD and he healed back up, and also of course over an hour since I said the trigger phrase, and he hasn't despawned. The KOS version is still up. So I don't know how long before it resets, but longer than that!
15k hp 75 monk and 75 cleric, long fight(40 min) but when Windrush stuns the MT, which he does ALOT, he doesnt do much DPS. Used potions and Stedfast Servant along with CHs.
His respawn time after despawn is 6 hours. This has been confirmed several times due to the fact that Ive been trying to kill him for the past 3 weeks.
Searching for 2 hours across all boards I finally found this vital info that everyone seems to neglect saying.
Firstly, clear directions to him:
Invis and run straight into the large room, up the stairs till the 2nd last level. At the end of the catwalk you will find a tunnel (Safe hall) leading to a small room with 3 Girplans and Windrush standing at its back wall. He is indifferent.
This was quite helpful, but for those chasing up the ramp, when it stops being a broad stone ramp, and you've got catwalk entry to your left, you're going to head up this catwalk ramp and take about a half moon around to your left to find the tunnel entrance.
1) 15.5k unbuffed hp warrior 2) 8k mana box cleric with a clarity potion 3) 13k mana wizard starting the fight with 20m and a clarity potion
56 minutes of fun (The monk we were there for lay uselessly on the floor the entire time so there was 0 dps from it)
You can avoid respawn if you just stay on the back wall. I aggroed it once but managed not to the second time it respawned. Took so long since there was very little DPS. The wizards low mana cost spells were all resisted and she had to use banes.
Any 11k tank unbuffed is gonna have an easy time here. The stun sucks even at 365 unbuffed resists. You will need alot of DPS, this guy was regening HP against 5 of us after adds respawned in his spawn room and agrod the 9 man raid. Personally unless your all Time geared+ this mob is going to be hard to 1 group without the perfect group...
Ok, can anyone tell me the respawn time on Windurs please - apparently, at around 7:20pm Windrush was killed, i returned at roughly 9:30pm with a mini raid to kill him and waited till 10:30!!!! and he still didn't spawn so we gave up
I only have Wind and the Keeper to kill now so any respawn info on Wind would be awesome please :))
This doesn't need to be a raid encounter. Myself and some friends single grouped it in Time/EP equivalent gear. Warrior-me (13khp/2300ac/10%shielding buffed), Monk, Beastlord, Cleric, Wizard, Enchanter-me. There were no spectacular strats aside from max melee range to avoid most of the rampages. We all resisted the Mana Spectrum AE. Getting Windrush slowed was a bit difficult, but managed it after about 10 tries with my enchanter using Desolate Deeds. The stun proc is annoying and seemed harder to resist than a -200 magic check, but I still managed to hold agro through it. It was definately a lengthy fight and pushed our group to our limits, but still do-able with a single non-uber geared group.
Ok. Me and a RL friend wanted to kill this guy. So he boxed 3 chars and i boxed 2. 70 Warrior 17k+hp buffed. 70rog 12khp. 70 cleric 10khp 9k mana. 70monk (me) 10k buffed. 70 shammy 11khp 9kmana. Hes slowable but kinda hard to get turgur's in on. But doable. Took around 15mins to take em down. Rampage was kinda nasty at times but just back out of rampage range. was at 8% once and he didnt agro on me.. Does enrage. Mana Spectrum was cureable by Replenishment Cure (or what its called). He also stun his target for like 20 secs a time. But tank had really good agro so it kept hitting him anyways...
MT was a Pally in an Anguish guild, AC was 2400ish and HPs was 13.5Khps, most others were Time geared. Raid makeup was Pally, two Shamans, Druid, Cleric, Wizard, Necro, Ranger, Enchanter, Mage and myself(Monk). Everyone was OOM at the end of the fight.
i did this guy with my guild the other day for my 1.5, and i noticed something strange when i was finding the exact location of the mob. when i got into his room, i noticed there were 2 windrushes, one kos and not not kos. im not sure if this is a bug, or if someone spawned him but then didnt kill him. the kos one jumped me as soon as i got line of sight, so his agro might be based on that. so just a heads up for anyone thats going to check this guy out.
alrighty, just did this with 22 people, was ugly. didn't get the time on repops, but fighting it in the corridor is a bad idea. Corner him as best you can in the room, have a chanter for mezzes. His ae ramp is brutal, and just short of max melee.
First time I came through looking early in my OOW experience I was KOS. I just popped up looking to map Placeholders and such, and I'm now Indifferent. I am finally Ally to Dranik Loyalist, and I was max-ally on Children of Dranik first time up... So I'm trying to figure if there is yet another faction he's on. If anyone knows please post an answer, thanks.
Has a AE called Mana spectrum makes all spells cost 100% more.. He is on the Second to last level from the top of the spire. Spawns in the back of the NE room on back side of platform. 3 Girplan Masons in room.
This is a range fight. Monk pulled, Warrior peeled and tanked in hallway. Windrush’s stun is a spell, not a proc so be careful when pulling and peeling that you are standing where you want to be. 3 Clerics and 1 druid were all FT15 and on a 4 second CH cycle. The other 3 druids patch healed AE Rampage damage (Monk / Rogue).
Fight lasted 11 minutes 36 seconds. Windrush was shaman slowed less than 1 minute into fight (Tash’ed first) Warrior was level 68 with max defensive AA, 9500 hp buffed, wielding 2hs. Windrush attempted to hit 694 times: Windrush missed 237 Times Warrior dodged 31 Times Warrior parried 37 Times Warrior riposted 24 Times Warrior was spell Stunned 37 Times Windrush hit 320 Times: 190x for various 550 – 1000 damage 30x for various 1000 – 1150 damage 40x for various 1150 – 1300 damage 30x for various 1350 – 1550 damage 30x for various 1600 – 1830 (max) damage
I estimate fight can be done with 10: Group 1: Warrior (70 with new OOW max defensive AA, 10k+), Bard (DS, over haste), Monk, 3 clerics (5 second heal cycle) Group 2: Enchanter, Shaman, Druid, Druid. (Slow and patch heal AE rampage damage)
