Nexon Hosts Vindictus Screenshot Contest

If you're participating in the Vindictus Early Access Beta, Nexon is hosting a screenshot contest to end the event with a bang. All you need to do is obtain the Savage Ring and submit a screenshot of it in your inventory for a chance to win a Vindictus White Polar Bear Spirt Hood and a Razer Gaming Keyboard. Think of it as an in-game scavenger hunt.

To get the ring, you need to earn the Savage Eye by completing the White Tyrant boss battle under special conditions and have Brynn craft it into the ring. The contest ends on Oct. 6, which makes sense since the Early Access Beta ends on Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. PDT. Just as a reminder, the open beta launches on Oct. 13 for all North American players.

Vindictus Open Beta Begins October 13

Do you want to try out Vindictus, but don't have an Early Access Beta key? Well, it looks like you only have to wait a couple more weeks to join the battle! Nexon just announced that the open beta will launch on Oct. 13 and open the doors to all North American players. The Early Access Beta will be ending a little sooner than expected on Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. PDT to address various issues.

The open beta will also add a wealth of new gameplay opportunities to Vindictus. Players can explore the new town Ainle, customize their characters in the dye and beauty shops, go fishing, strengthen their weapons and armor with enhancement stones, or join a guild. Also, the level cap will be raised from 26 to 38. We'll see you there!

New Vindictus Video Showcases Grappling Moves

The Vindictus Early Access Beta has been under way for a little more than a week now, and players have until Oct. 6 to master their fighting skills during this testing phase of the free-to-play action MMO. With the clock ticking down, Nexon thought now might be a good time to show players how they can use grappling moves to finish off their opponents.

If you haven't gotten the chance to try out Vindictus yet, you should definitely check out the video. You can grab enemies and toss them around or smash them into walls, and you can also pick up debris and use it as a weapon. Watch the video after the jump and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Early Access Events for Vindictus players

Amidst some very awkward server issues (that are still around at this very moment!), the Vindictus Early Access Beta has begun, and Nexon has already unveiled their awesome lineup of events they have planned for players participating in the early beta. Dubbed the "Passion! Power! Persistence!" event, players will be rewarded with some nice little tokens of appreciation depending on just how far they want to get during their early access.

For the Passion! Event, players will need to achieve the following Battle Point thresholds to receive the rewards:

  • Wind through the Ruins: Achieve 190 Battle Points and receive 10 Goddess Grace.
  • Final Slingshot: Achieve 165 Battle Points and receive 10 Tokens and 5 Party Revival Feathers.
  • Kobold Chief: Achieve 190 Battle Points and receive 10 Goddess Grace.

For the Power! Event, player swill need to achieve the following titles: "The Aloof Magician's Assistant," "Whipper by Shayla," and "Semi-Respecter of the Elderly," in order to receive 10 Seals of Dedication per title achieved.

Finally, for their Persistence! Event, players will simply need to make their way to level 10 during the early access beta to get a special capsule containing 100 AP! All of these events end when the Early Access Beta ends (October 6th), so get a-crackin'!

New Vindictus video showcases controllable golems!

A new day, a new video! The team over at Vindictus has released a new video showcasing their awesome Golem summoning skills. Evie, an upcoming character in Vindictus, will be the one capable of summoning the golem, and once she learns the appropriate skill, she will be able to create a powerful golem out of the environment! Check out the video and watch as she makes one out of pillars, rocks and random debris! This also ensures that the golem will look unique, every time it's summoned. Sadly, Evie can only summon one golem once per dungeon, and the golem will lose power and disappear eventually, so be careful with your summoning!

You can check out the video after the jump!
