When this PQ starts, the ritual space is surrounded by Thorshafn Militiamen and Thorshafn Soldiers who have come to stop the ritual. For each Militiaman you kill a gravestone will mark the spot. When all 25 are dead you need to click on each gravestone to spawn a Perished Soul. Kill them to collect the essence for the Raven Sorcerers to use.

Just as the summoning begins the wizard-lord of the tower, Wizard Lord Mathus, shows up and interrupts the summoning! The Daemon, Kar'thok the Bloodhowler, breaks his containment circle and kills the 4 Raven Sorcerers and Wizard Lord Mathus, and looks ready to kill everyone regardless of what side they are on! The only chance you have is to join forces with all the others present and destroy him!

Errata

There seems to be some confusion as to the name of this quest. The name, as it appears in your Book of Knowledge and on the screen is Ruinous Powers, but in the log files it says you have entered Ritual of Power.
