Mayakov : You, again? Quite the perthithtent one, aren't you?
Thome poeple never learn, I suppothe.
Mayakov : Hm? You brought a ticket with you thith time?
Let'th have a look at it, then.
Mayakov : What the...
Gindaff : Ewww... It looks as thought it's been through hell and back!
Do I even want to know what happened to that ticket?
Mayakov : Ith filthy! Ith thith thing even real?
Gindaff : To be sure, it bears the seal of the Melusine, our official logo.
Everything seems to be in order...
Mayakov : Hmmm...
Mayakov : I'm thorry, I can't allow it.
That you could have come upon a ticket tho quickly, and in thuch condition, ith motht...thuth-thuthpithiouth.
Mayakov : We've had enough trouble with people trying to get in with fake ticketh already.
??? : Excuse me, please pardon my interruption.
Mayakov : Oooh! Thir Ragelithe of the Knighth of the Ironcretht Hawk.
It ith a motht profound honor for Troupe Mayakov to be blethed by your cuthtom!
Mayakov : We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival, thir!
The fineth theat in the houthe hath been prepared for your viewing pleathure and comfort!
Ragelise : I am most pleased to hear that.
What's this? Is there some trouble?
Mayakov : No, thir, not at all. Thimply another fan trying to gain entry with a fake ticket.
You needn't worry yourthelf. We have matterth well under control.
Mayakov : I have even half a mind to order them all rounded up and thrown into Ronfaure for their detheit!
Ragelise : I'm afraid I can't stand idly by and let you treat my friend in such a manner.
Mayakov : Thir!? Your...friend, thir!?
Ragelise : That's correct. Isn't that right?
So please, some leniency, I beg of you.
Mayakov : My profuthe apologieth, Thir Ragelithe!
I intended no dithrethpect.
Mayakov : Indeed, a friend of our great and noble guetht, Thir Ragelithe, thall be more than welcome by Troupe Mayakov.
Mayakov : Forgive my impertinenthe.
Troupe Mayakov ith honored by your patronage.
Mayakov : The performanthe will begin momentarily.
Pleathe hurry to your theatth!

Ragelise : Well, that was a close call, wouldn't you say?
Artists! Haha, the troupe, leader is by no means a bad fellow.
But he certainly can be a stubborn and selfish one.
Ragelise : You caught my eye by the door, there, adventurer. You have an air of regality about you.
You are a knight of the kingdom, yes?
Ragelise : Windurst!? You don't say!
And one of the Cobra Mercenaries, no less? That explains the hardened look in your eyes.
No doubt you have plenty a story to tell.
Ragelise : Nearly everyone by now knows of the capable command of your Romaa Mihgo.
The tales of her deeds reach us even here in San d'Oria.
Ragelise : I needn't tell you, then of the horrors of this great war.
The ranks of the Beastman Confederate stretch in all directions with no end in sight.
We in the service of the Allied Forces rarely have a free moment to enjoy the very freedoms we fight for.
Ragelise : Which is why it is so essential that we make the most of our time away from duty.
To forget the troubles and worries that this war has thrust upon us, and to enjoy what little time we have with our friends and loved ones.
Ragelise : That is why I spoke up on your behalf at the door.
Ragelise : Hm? Who am I? Oh, well that's neither here nor there.
Consider me no more than a fellow soldier.
Ragelise : But let us speak now of what brings us here.
The critics are touting Troupe Mayakov's performance as the show to see!
And I can attest firsthand to the quality of the dancers. Come, come. Let us enjoy the evening.
Ragelise : I love the anticipation of a good show!
Ragelise : It begins!

Hegouard : Greetings to all, and a heartfelt thank you on behalf of the troupe for gracing us with your presence tonight.
And without further delay, on to the evening's presentation!
Hegouard : Come now, and behold a fair dance,
Be moved to dream, in deep waking trance!
Hegouard : Pauper, sage, even the nobleman knows,
All are welcomed, with warth, by Troupe Mayakov!
Old hag, young beauty, even the sweet child knows,
All are embraced, with love, by Troupe Mayakov!
Hegouard : Sever ties, fettered fool, and make merry this night!
Come now, honored guests, and forget all this night!
Hegouard : For the dark, still young, swallowed the sun what once shone,
And the time to revel is this night, and now alone!
Hegouard : Let the show begin!

Ragelise : So what do you think of Troupe Mayakov?
Simply amazing, aren't they?
Ragelise : It's easy to see how they have come to be known as the "pixies of the battlefield."
I've never seen such grace and beauty of movement. And so seemingly effortless...
Ragelise : Which dancer are you finding to be the most entertaining?

Which dancer is your favorite?

  • The one on the right.
  • The one in the middle.
  • The one on the left.

Hegouard : And now, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the moment you have all been waiting for.
A solo performance by the star of the Troupe Mayakov, the "Moonshade Butterfly," Lilisette!
Ragelise : Hm? Caught your attention, has she?
Ragelise : That's Lilisette. They say she's a real mystery, that one.
Not too much is known about her.
Ragelise : She only just recently joined the troupe. But apparently she was able to pass their stringent screening on the first go.
No easy feat, that. Troupe Mayakov is notoriously strict in their recruiting practices.
Ragelise : An absolute natural. See how she captivates the audience the instant she sets foot on the stage?
Such a gifted child...
Ragelise : And nobody knows how or why. She doesn't speak about her age, where she's been, where she's from.
All anyone knows is that her father is an Elvaan and her mother a Hume. Other than that, she's a complete mystery.
Ragelise : No doubt that aura of mystery ihas helped to propel her to such stardom so quickly.
If there's one thing people love, it's the effect of the exotic. We love the unknown.

Hegouard : And so the fluttering of the butterfly's flight draws to a close.
Did you find yourself traipsing the night winds with her, guided by the light of the moon?
Hegouard : And how will your experience this evening change you, ladies and gentlemen?
Was the seed of a dream planted tonight that will bloom? Or simply fade away...?

Festauve : Sir Ragelise! There you are, sir!
We have been searching all over for you.
Festauve : The order is most distressed, sir!
For the commanding officer of the Knights of the Ironcrest Hawk to be wandering about in the open is most uncouth.
Ragelise : Hahaha, you would rather I remain in my quarters, the overprotected maiden in her tower, yes?
Festauve : But it is regulation, sir! Surely this is no laughing matter.
Ragelise : Yes, yes, very well. I only jest.
I gave our hawks quite the scare, did I?
Festauve : Yes, sir. All of our knights have assembled on the Parade Ground awaiting some news.
Ragelise : Then I shall go and set their minds at east, at once.
By your leave, Mr. Mayakov.
Mayakov : On behalf of my entire troupe, thir, good night to you.
Ragelise : Hm? What is it?
Ragelise : If you'll excuse me, I have some minor business I must see to.
Ragelise : I'm sure that our paths with cross again.
We are on the same side, after all. Farewell for now.

Ragelise : How fare things in La Vaule?
Gallauciond : Sir, according to intelligence reports from the latest courier, ranks are currently regrouping at that location.
Gallauciond : The Knights of the Madder Falcon report to be rebuilding the defenses and barricading strategic points.
The resistance, however, continues in waves...
Merfanont : A considerable portion of the local populace has already been abducted by the beastman, sir.
We haven't a moment to lose. The time to act is at hand!
Ragelise : Agreed. The position cannot be lost!
Deploy immediately!
Gallauciond : Sir, there is another...problem to consider.
Ragelise : What is it?
Merfanont : Sir, we too are preoccupied here at the capital with the rebuilding of fortifications and rallying of the troops.
In anticipation of your orders we attempted to garner what forces we could to send into the field, but...
I'm afraid such a force would be significantly lacking in its capabilities to reinforce the location, sir.
Ragelise : You needn't worry yourself about that.
I had considered our lack of manpower and took the libery of scouting a formidable ally to our cause.
Gallauciond : A formidable ally, sir?
Mayakov : I had hear the kingdom wath low on infantry, but I hadn't imagined the thituathion wath thith dire.
Ragelise : Ah, there you are, Mr. Mayakov. Your assistance is most welcome!
Ragelise : What you see is quite remarkable in its own right, considering the blow which we suffered at the Battle of La Theine.
Gallauciond : Sir Ragelise, if I may inquire as to who our guest is?
Ragelise : Of course. This is the leader of the prestigious Troupe Mayakov.
He has agreed to lend us the strength of his dancers in our desperate hour.
Merfanont : Troupe Mayakov? The d-dancers, sir?
Ragelise : Don't be mistaken, knight.
The dancers may hide themselves away in obscurity in these traveling troupes...
Ragelise : But they shall play a key role on the battlefields in our opposition to this damnable Beastman Confederate!
Gallauciond : But surely...
Mayakov : The majority of Troupe Mayakov'th memberth are orphanth who were brought up at the convent in La Vaule.
Mayakov : Believe me when I tell you that none are more dithheartened than we by the current thtate of affairth there.
Mayakov : We may not be the impothing fighting forthe that you were hoping for, but we will do everything in our power to protect our homeland.
Mayakov : Portia!
Mayakov : The lovely lady you thee before you ith not only one of our more talented performerth, but altho our motht accomplithed battle danther.
No doubt Portia here will prove an invaluable addition to your cauthe.
Ragelise : Are you sure you are up to the task, my lady?
Portia : By your will, milord. Should it please you, Sir Ragelise, I would willingly follow you to the very ends of Vana'diel.
Gallauciond : What about the other one? The cute one...Lilisette, I think her name was. Can she come along as well?
Mayakov : Bah! Lilithette ith thtill but a mere child.
Only rethently hath the joined our troupe and I have no intenthionth of endangering her life.
Gallauciond : (Sigh)... All right...
Ragelise : It is settled, then. We depart at once!
Knights, bid farewell to your ladies.
Merfanont: (Gulp)...
F-farewell, sir?
Ragelise : Do not be so easily shaken, boys! It is only a figure of speech!
Tell them naught but you love them, and shall hold them in your arms again before many nights pass!
Ragelise : Dismissed!
