Tegenar Deepfang is the Third boss in Darkening Deeps

Abilities

• Frontal Cone AoE - Tegenar will occasionally cast Poison Spray which deals damage in a cone in front of the boss. DPS and healers will want to stay behind the boss
• Summon Deepfang Crawler - He will also occasionally summon about a dozen Deepfang Crawler's that may overwhelm a tank and a few should be off-tanked by other players to spread out the pain. Try to avoid a tank taking too much damage from adds during a poison spray.
• Cocoon - Although this ability cannot be avoided, it is important to note that he will occasionally wrap players in a cocoon where they will be unable to heal or DPS. DoTs and HoTs FTW!

For this fight it is recommended to have a second player with a healing ability to use if the main healer is cocooned.

Strategy
Your tank should begin by pulling the boss facing him away from the group, Melee dps should stand directly behind the boss, Ranged and healers should also stack in melee range that way tanks can pickup add's faster, as well as having the melee able to help break you out of cocoon's faster. When Deepfang Crawler's are spawned, rune closer to the tank if they are agro'd onto you and have him pick them up, while not going in front of the the boss. When the boss Cocoon's a player, it helps to have Target of Target on, because you can easily find the cocoon NPC covering the player, Otherwise spam tab or click the player to get the cocoon targeted and break it asap! AoE Down the add's then get back on the boss. continue until the boss is dead.

Expert

Master

Patch 1.5 #4 says, "Darkening Deeps [Master]: Tegenar: Break Free type abilities no longer work for Cocoon."

Same as expert except the adds will also include two large adds.
