Valderotaux : Welcome to the Lion Springs!
Valderotaux : You wish my permission to dance on the stage?
Valderotaux : Why, I have not had dancers here since Troupe Brilioth graced us with a performance.
Valderotaux : As I recall, my customers were riotously appreciative...
Their cheers shook the very walls of the tavern.
Valderotaux : Are you sure you're a dancer?
It is just that you seem to...nervous.
Valderotaux : Well, I suppose even professionals have the jitters every now and again.
Allow me to prepare the audience...
Now's your chance to capture the hearts of the audience.
Najjar : Is that what they call dancing these days?
Daggao : Should we call for a doctor? I think she's having a fit.
Valderotaux : Your dancing style was...quite unique...
Valderotaux : You know, I'm not sure my establishment is the right place for such an "original" performance...
Rhea Myuliah : That must have been some performance you put on in the Lion Springs. News of your "unique" dancing style made it all the way to Jeuno.
Rhea Myuliah : Well, I guess I have to keep my end of the deal and tell you what I learned about that stone.
Rhea Myuliah : I hate to brrreak it to you, but finding a stardust pebble might be close to impossible.
Rhea Myuliah : Twenty years ago, stardust pebbles could be found lying at the bottom of Lake Mechieume in Jugner Forest.
Rhea Myuliah : But their dazzling glow made them such a collector's item that not a single one remains there today.
Rhea Myuliah : I believe our merciless leader has set you a task that cannot be completed.
Rhea Myuliah : It's a shame.
While you still lack skill, you certainly have the spirit of a dancer...
This cutscene can be viewed in-game by trading a small item to the Goblin Footprint at (G-6) in Jugner Forest (S) and speaking to Ramblix. Select the cutscene "Lakeside Minuet."
You find a sparkling stone.
Laila : Well, isn't that a pretty little thing.
I'll have to t'take one home with me!
Laila : What are you gawpin' at?
I don't give out autographs.
Laila : Hm? You have no idea who I am?
Laila : Not ev'ryone appreciates the arts, I s'pose.
I'll be quittin' the dancin' game soon, anyway. I'm meant to be at practice as we speak.
Laila : All my days have been filled with dance...
I'm findin' it hard t'remember why I even started.
Laila : Dancin' never used t'be such a chore.
And it made me mother and father so proud...
Laila : But now...
Music begins to play nearby.
Laila : ...?
Laila : What a lovely, liltin' melody...
I've never heard the pipes played so well.
Laila : I...I feel so light all o' a sudden...
Laila : I feel like I could float right off the ground.
Laila : I never knew I could enjoy dancin' just for the sake o' dancin'.
No cheerin' audience. No dotin' parents...
Laila : Ye're fortunate, ye know.
I usually perform before lords an' ladies.
Laila : Now where did that pipe player go?
Sure'n that was a sweet song...
A man appears at the top of the hill.
Fairaure : Milady!
Laila : Fairaure!
Fairaure : Thank Altana I've found you safe and sound.
If anything should happen to you, my honor would be irrevocably stained...
Laila : Fairaure, how did you manage t'lag so far behind with those long Elvaan legs?
Fairaure : My apologies, milady!
It shan't happen again!
Laila : Although, I s'pose I should be thankin' you.
Fairaure : Thanking me, milady?
Laila : It was on the verge of givin' up everythin'.
The only reason I said I wanted t'see the stones in the lake was t'escape from dance practice.
Laila : If you hadn't agreed to sneak me out, I might o' thrown away me dancin' forever...
Laila : Fairaure, I've decided t'give dancin' another chance.
Fairaure : M-milady!
I shall do everything in my power to see your dreams come to fruition!
Fairaure : Let us return to the estate!
Obtained key item: Stardust pebble.
Laila : Ye here again?
Laila : Ye've brought me a stardust pebble?
If ye think ye can trick me with some painted piece o'...
Laila : !!!
Laila : Wh-where did ye get this!?
Laila : And now wI s'pose ye're going to hold me to my word, are ye?
Laila : <Sigh>...
Well, ye were up t'the task, and no mistakin'.
Welcome to Troupe Brilioth.
Laila : Ye know, I have another stardust pebble, but its light faded years ago...
Laila : Lookin' at this rock reminds me o' the day I learned the true joy of dancin'.
Laila : I can still hear the sound of the pipes...
Laila : ...?
Laila : Ye look awfully familiar fer some reason...
Laila : Nah, it couldn't be...
Laila : Now, before ye begin yer trainin', let me tell ye a little somethin' about the origin o' our dance.
Laila : It's a martial style based on the traditional Bastokan "Kriegstanz"--a dance used in actual battle.
Laila : O' course, we've learned how t'adapt this martial style into a form suitable for performances.
Laila : But first, ye'll have t'work on the basic, martial movements.
Laila : Rhea!
Show this rookie the ropes!
Laila : And now yer body has been conditioned fer the fundamental movements o' the Kriegstanz.
Laila : Don't just stand there scuffin' yer feet!
I expect ye t'spend ev'ry spare moment practicin' those moves!,br>
Troupe Brilioth only accepts the best!
You can now become a dancer!
