just to set the facts right, Greater Birds do NOT have the Triple Attack trait as THFs do. these have a TP attack called "Triple Attack". if you see it triple attack with it's melee that is because you may be lagging and it did a double attack and then another attack after it. FACT!
been farming these (Diatryma) since CoP came out, got access to Lufaise Meadows shortly after.
The attack your friend was talking about is the Triple Attack. I have not been one shotted by it but it has done 600-700 damage but that was kinda rare.
Party of 72-74 leveled off of these last night for around 6 hours, Easy to get chain 5 and xp at the ranges was 130 on the first and around 210 on the 5th. Their AOE is rather large so have the mages stay back, They have a stun and knockback attack but it only affects one person.
Found these on widescan and wanted to see them, one was waiting for me around the corner at the end of the tunnel, got hit for 400 twice, dead taru thf61.
If these are VT to a 75, they can't be 78-79. They totally wrecked my 68-70 PT, and the level above is just about the level of things I exp off of right now.
My party couldn't find anywhere to level at 70 on a friday night so we tried here. Drk got aggro while we were getting set up and got pwned. I couldn't land sleep. I have a pluto's staff and 290 enfeebling skill ( and +30 int). So I'm thinking these can't be slept. Anyway, 3 of us got killed. The other three ran away for the safehold.
Sorry to hear. I was cosidering trying these out with my static party (we're 69-71 at the moment). What were your problems in fighting these? Did he just hit way too hard? Could your melees not do adequate damage? Could your melees even hit them? What were mage resists like?
Adamantoise seems to be the first choice in Allakhazam's family choice selector. Cause this typo has be seen on other new mobs that are not fully classifed at that moment.
