EQII Share is a social network feature that allows players to post messages on Facebook and Twitter from in-game, auto-share a limited amount of achievements and make their character information public on the EQ2Players web site.
To access the EQII Share options, open up your Character/Persona window (C) and click on the EQII Share tab.
Click on any image on this page to see the full-sized version.
NOTE: Picture sharing has been added since we originally made this guide. It will be updated soon to reflect that.

To enable EQII Share on Facebook you must first have an account with Facebook. Click the checkbox to Enable Facebook Updates. At this point an in-game browser window will pop-up (so don't do this in combat!) and you will need to login to your Facebook account and allow the EQII Share Facebook application to have permission to post things to Facebook.
The only auto-sharing that will occur are select achievements (estimated to be about 40 in total).
You can send Facebook status updates by using the /facebook command. This will bring up a pop-up window where you can confirm what you want to post and decide whether or not to share a screenshot.
To enable EQII Share on Twitter you must first have an account with Twitter. Click the checkbox to Enable Twitter Updates. At this point an in-game browser window will pop-up (so don't do this in combat!) and you will need to login to your Twitter account and allow the EQII Share application to have permission to post things to Twitter.
The only auto-sharing that will occur are select achievements (estimated to be about 40 in total).
You can send Twitter status updates by using the /twitter or /tweet commands. This will bring up a pop-up window where you can confirm what you want to post and decide whether or not to share a screenshot. The #EQ2 hashtag, your character name and a picture url (if sharing a screenshot) is automatically added to any tweet and should be taken into consideration for the 140 character limit.
If you have both Facebook and Twitter sharing enabled then you can send the same message to both services by using the /share command. This will post on both Facebook and Twitter whatever you type after /share.
You can use macro commands in your messages! The use of %T, %P, %O and %S are all confirmed to be supported. All macro commands:
One of our Twitter sharing pictures above show the usage of %T, %P, %S and %O.
Clicking the Enable EQ2Players Updates checkbox will make that character publically viewable on EQ2Players. This is the only EQII Share option that is on by default. To make your character private simply uncheck that box.
