Certain words, when added to the name of a shield such as
Ironclad Blockade III DX, adds a specific effect. Generally, the Capacity of the shield will be slightly less than one of the same rank without the extra effect.
- Blastproof - Take 10% less damage from your explosives
- Blockade - Take 10% less damage from vehicles
- Bullseye - +5% Crit Mult when shield down
- Charger - Take 4% less damage while shield recharging
- Contender - +5% Melee Damage after shield recharges
- Grenadier - +5% grenade refresh on shield break
- Regenerator - +25% HP regeneration
- Reloader - +5% Reload when shield down
Letters may follow the full name, such as D or DX, but they do not appear to have any significance, effect-wise.
Shields may also have additional resistance against a specific type of Elemental damage.
