Historical Background

In Japanese Mythology, Amanomurakumo no tsurugi is the Divine Sword of Susanoo, a Violent God. He obtained this sword by slaying the monster serpent with 8 heads, Yamata no orochi, and later devoted the sword to his sister, Amateratsu.
