I checked the required levels on test and found 71, 74, 77, 76, 79, 82, 86, 88, 90, 91, 93, 95. Yes rank 3 does have a higher level required than rank 4. Now test server isn't always the same as live, and I don't have any easy way to verify on live since I already maxed the ability and don't have another class or mage to verify it on live. On test you can /resetaa 1/week...
Thanks. I might /testcopy a magician over there and double check that, and report it, if I get the same results. I wouldn't think any higher rank would be a lower required level, unless they're allowing you to buy an both ranks at 77, then delevel to 76 and keep the entire line. That doesn't really make sense, but who knows. Seems worth /bug reporting either way.
EDIT: Is what eqaasearch.or shows too, so definitely been like that on Test for a while. If I can, I'll look into on live server.

As a magician I notice there are now 12 ranks of this. Rank 5 is level 79 and Seeds of Destruction, and I suspect rank 4 should be 77, not 76. Since I don't know what the other classes have for this I haven't changed anything yet. I don't have sufficiently high level alts to check other classes.

It should be (has always been so far) the same for all classes that use the same ID number. So whatever you see in-game is what it should be. Some of the stuff was from old sites, and/or guesstimates from patterns, and may not reflect the current values. So if you see an error, go ahead and change it. Only thing to be careful of, is that the in-game window shows the AA / req. level / exp for the next rank purchasable, unless you have purchased all the ranks, then it shows, the last rank. So, if your window says ranks bought 8, then the other data (AA pts, level, exp) are for rank 9.
