Video: Do Adult Film Stars Play Video Games Too?

Adult film stars are video gamers too. At least that was the theory that we tried to prove when we visited CES’ naughty next door neighbor, the Adult Entertainment Expo. In our 2nd annual visit to the AEE, it was our goal to prove what we tried to establish last year… that you can’t go anywhere without finding someone that is into video games.

Last year we talked with Jesse Jane, Jenny Hendrix, Sinn Sage, and Mia Rose, and although we ran into some familiar faces (like Taylor Byrd) and a whole slew of new talent (cha-ching!), this year we also came face-to-face with a true legend of the adult film industry… Ron Jeremy (who happens to be starring in his own video game)! Some other folks we ran into include a rep from the notorious Fleshlight (ew?), some oddly out of place techies from Iomega (doubling up on CES and AEE!), and a giant, mechanical, riding… you get the idea.

So did we actually find anyone that plays video games at the Adult Entertainment Expo? You’ll have to watch the video to find out, but you’ll be surprised with some of the answers! Click through the break to watch the entire AEE video!

Tier-10 Plate Tanking Gear to Get Armor Boost

According to a post by Zarhym, Blizzard will be boosting the armor on the gloves and chest pieces of the tier-10 plate tanking sets in the next minor patch in order to make them more desirable. If you're a warrior, death knight or paladin who just worked to get comparable gear, don't worry:

"Similar items crafted or purchased with Emblems of Frost will continue to be very good and will compare favorably to all but the Heroic difficulty boss loot, so you shouldn't despair if you recently acquired any of those."

Zarhym also stated later in the thread that they will be keeping an eye on Feral druid tank gear since they're concerned it won't scale as well.

Battlecry Mosaic Hits 50%, Unlocks Song

Blizzard has officially hit the halfway point in its World of Warcraft Battlecry Mosaic, and the content that has been unlocked is a little more substantial than the usual pieces of concept art. The team has released a musical excerpt of a song from Fall of the Lich King called "Invincible."

"An ode to one who has fallen. Time and events have left it unclear whether the song refers to the former prince of Lordaeron or his beloved steed."

Blizzard still needs to receive 9,983 more pictures before it will reveal the entire mosaic, so be sure to submit your photo if you haven't done it yet.

Dev Chat: Warlocks Get a New Demon in Cataclysm?

If there's one thing that legions of Warlocks have yearned for, it's a new demon to command. At the very least, they've been asking Blizzard to re-skin the existing demons for some time now. According to the recent Twitter-hosted developer Q&A, both of these might be in the cards for Warlocks in the upcoming Cataclysm expansion. When asked if Warlock pets will ever get the re-skin many fans think they desperately need, Ghostcrawler replied:

"When you look around, there are a lot of say imp or voidwalkers we could use. It's something we talk about quite a bit. As for new demons, I hear warlocks are going to be getting some new spells for the next expansion..."

It might not seem like an awe-inspiring answer to most players...But considering the developers' history of dropping little "wink wink" hints like this, which are later unveiled as fact (remember the devs teasing us in the forums about the Greymane Wall before they announced Cataclysm?), this ZAM editor would bet his Battered Hilt that we Warlocks will snag a new demon by this time next year. For more info regarding a multitude of WoW-related topics, read the complete developer Q&A, which includes several dozen surprisingly-direct answers.

Blizzard Adds 4 Hotfixes for Blood Queen Lana'thel

The Crimson Hall just opened on Tuesday and Blizzard has already implemented four hotfixes regarding Blood Queen Lana'thel. Here they are straight from Bornakk's post:

  • Blood Queen Lana’thel will only be available after the Blood Prince Council is defeated.
  • Blood Queen Lana’thel's Essence has a longer duration.
  • Kinetic Bombs no longer aggro Blood Queen Lana’thel during the Blood Princes encounter.
  • Blood Queen Lanathel should no longer cast Vampiric Bite on pets.

So what are your thoughts on the Crimson Hall wing of Icecrown Citadel? You can read what fellow ZAM users are saying in this thread in our WoW general forum.

UPDATE: Lead Encounter Designer Daelo just made a post that gives more detail on the recent Icecrown Citadel hotfixes. You can read it after the jump.

Raiding In Blues: Make Your Own Challenges In WoW?

If you've ever spoken to an old-school World of Warcraft fan who boasts about his or her days in the WoW beta, or if you ever hear them fondly reminiscing about world PvPing (an almost dead commodity thanks to flying mounts and summoning stones!) at Blackrock Mountain, then chances are, they'll also have the opinion that WoW has gotten somewhat "easier" since its vanilla days. Perhaps it was when Blizzard noticed that only the top few percent of their player base had ever seen the inner walls of Naxxramas, or maybe it was when they saw just how many happy raiders there were in Sunwell when they nerfed the armor of all the raid bosses in half.

Unfortunately, as endgame content becomes more accessible for the masses, it's inevitable that the original PVE pioneers, the super-intelligent players who love to calculate their optimal DPS rotations and "best in slot" equipment, would ultimately find themselves getting bored with clearing toned down instances. So how do some of these guys entertain themselves?

Well, for some, the obvious conclusion is to whine a lot and make some extra-long posts on the forums with a list of your complaints - all with the hope that Blizzard will listen to everything and fix it all up by the next day. For others, however, when they can't find challenge in World of Warcraft by normal means, they seek it out in some very unique ways.

CES 2010: Razer's Product Line-Up

In many MMO gaming households, the word “peripheral” has become synonymous with the name “Razer.” Since the mid 1990s, Razer has been pushing the envelope in gaming peripheral technology, introducing the first 2000 dpi mouse (the Boomslang) in 1999 and continually innovating and revolutionizing the industry since then. On top of all hardware notoriety, Razer has retained an immense amount of support from their users; a simple look at Razer’s Facebook page and their 73,336 fans can attest to a dedication to their fan base.

So when ZAM was invited to take a behind-the-scenes glimpse at their hardware during the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show, we weren’t going to take that opportunity lightly. In previous years, Razer has garnered some of the most prestigious awards doled out by the show and its corresponding press, so a chance to see what’s on the docket for Razer in the coming year couldn’t be missed.

Upcoming Hotfix Will Buff Resilience

Bornakk announced today that Blizzard is in the process of applying a hotfix to buff resilience that should be in effect for the remainder of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Here's what the buff will mean for players:

"The change will double the value of resilience in reducing damage done by players. So depending on their current amount of resilience, characters might experience a 10 to 20% decrease in damage taken from other players. The critical strike chance and critical strike damage reduction components of resilience will remain unaffected by this change."

According to Bornakk, Blizzard has also "prepared some further changes that will allow us to quickly deploy a PvP-only healing adjustment if we feel it is warranted." The resilience change should be implemented while we're between Arena seasons.

CES 2010: Steel Series and Their Peripherals

Gaming mice and peripherals are pretty standard fare for MMO enthusiasts these days. Every mouse manufacturer seems to have a product that could be utilized in one of our games, but only a select few companies have the real passion to deliver mice, keyboards, headphones and other products that really put an emphasis on what’s best for the competitive PvE or PvP player. One of the most passionate companies in the business is Steel Series, and at CES 2010 they had a handful of new products that exemplified this focus.
