Here's an idea:

Use your Cooking Guild points to get the Wind Crystal that signs items (I forget what it's called). Now, do the Fit for a Prince quest to obtain a Rare/Ex Castor's Ring.

Now, the neat thing about this Ring is that by using a Wind Crystal on the ring, you remove the Rare/Ex modifiers and give the ring to anyone you want. By using the crystal from the guild, you can also sign this ring, and give it to your special someone. I have basically 0 crafting skill in all crafts, and I have been able to synth this ring with a Wind Crystal several times with no failures, so I'm pretty sure this is a guaranteed synth, with a 0 skill cap.

Signed chocolates would be nice. But what girl wouldn't want an engraved ring?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe it's consumables which can't be signed, which pretty much eliminates the cooking guild from signing anything. The crystals are available though so those who dedicate themself to cooking can still sign things from other crafts. As you're idea is nice and I wish you the most luck getting it through, I don't see them changing that anytime soon.

The ring idea is nice and I would absolutely love even more ways to do something like you are describing in game. So maybe if you don't win with the signing of chocolate, you can prompt them to come up with a good way for us to show how much we care.
