In ages past a sentient jewel enourmous and beautiful
banished the darkness, its many coloured light filled
the world with life and brought forth mighty gods..."
So where did this stone come from?
Was there one almighty god before all the other
gods that we don't know about?
Did this supposed "supreme being" create this stone
which then brought forth the "mighty gods"?
Note in the opening cutescene it never said the stone created
them but rather let them loose in a sorts.
Or.... was vana'diel just some crazy gaggle of vana space gas
that spontaneously combusted and gave us the planet :>
