gay people can have children? I didnt know artificial insemination was available for guys now.

My take on god. God existed. He created man. Man existed therefore god created woman to satiate man. Woman was naggy and ******* Man Complains to god about how much woman can annoy him. God says well create me a church to show how much you care. Man creates church. He convinces others to come and praise god. People praise man for helping them praise god. Man adores praise. Man found he loved praise more than he loved god. He used gods word to manipulate. People lost sight of god. God left man to his own devices.

God may or may not exist in the context you believe. Hell George Bush uses god like he is some super hero who talks to him and gives him advice. All I know was that Jesus Christ was some hippy doode who spoke of sanctity of the soul and loving fellow man then somehow over the last 2 thousand years his word got turned into a scapegoat for the greedy wal mart owning republican and the child molesting priest.

That's not true either...

DNA is just an OPTION of having a child born with whatever.

Parents can have a child with a mental disease, or some physical ailment, while the parents are "normal"

just the same Parents can have gay kids, when they're not gay themselves.

if it is truely encoded in our genetic makeup somewhere, it's a hit and miss, just like our eye color, blood type, height, type of hair. you get the point.

Fine, let's meet somewhere in the middle and say it's both genetic AND a choice. ;p

Present research seems to say that it's mainly genetic or innate, and seems to be more of a choice in women than men. Though not "proven", this is what a lot of survey research suggests.

Naeo, I miss you. I also agree. Slashing your potential mates from ~45% of the population to about ~5% of the population, the ridicule, the abuse, and the lack of having children seems to be not so attractive a package.

It's like they're scared or something. I promise to be discreet about it, if they're that nervous. ^^

Well, it's not like a choice, it's actually more of a trait you inherit from how you're raised and what your likes and dislikes as you grow up are like that you make your decision on. If being born gay was what made people that way, it'd be encoded in our DNA and any children we have would be born gay, then their children... then their children... and then their children... etc.

One thing I forgot to mention on that one:

Keep in mind dear that it doesn't necessarily have to be "normally encoded" inside one's parents DNA for something to happen. Think of down syndrome, for example. The parents don't necessarily have to have 3 #21 chromosomes for the child to be born with 3. Now I'm not comparing down syndrome to homosexuality, because they themselves are not similar, it's just the way that it happens could be something similar. If you think of it in terms of "Androphilic" (attracted to males) and "Gynephilic" (attracted to females), it could just be a simple trait swap in that regard.

Just my two cents...

PS rate-ups all around for most of the people in this thread because some of the "anti-gay" people are rating everyone down. Not like Karma is that important anyways.... but still.

So yeah how is gay recruitment going? Have you got a linkshell or something up and running yet? Attempts in the past have been pretty lousy but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try again!

I loved that movie but bringing it into this thread
only degrades the awesomeness of it. The movie I mean
not the thread. I am gay and this thread embarasses me.
I really wish you guys would let this stupid thing die
already.

Anyway rate up for the McLovin referance :D

Nope, no luck on it yet, Mikeyc. I think I'll take Zander's advice and just let the Thread die already. Thanks to all who replied though. ^^

Okay, sorry to hear that. Just before it dies though, I just thought I'd say that perhaps it's a good thing that such a linkshell isn't made anyway. In this day and age gay people can integrate with the rest of the community in a such a great way that they don't need to section themselves off. I know I am very happy in my linkshell, full of people from all different backgrounds.

In all honesty, all the bad stuff people posted on here are either just trying to wind someone up (like on practically every other post out there) in a light hearted way. I think it's a refelction that we arn't all living in the 1950's anymore. So just be proud of who you are-whoever you are-have fun and not care about what anybody else thinks.

Take care, and /goodbye thread
