On another note, why did this turn into some political
omgwtfgodisallknowinngandperfect kind of thread?

**** your religion, **** my religion, **** everyone's
religion, throughout history religion has been the one sore spot of many
people. And has caused more problem than good, who cares, leave it out.

the basis of the thread was "Who likes the ****!"

I do actually :D

So let's get back on topic :p

So has anyone been to any good **** fights lately?
I lost 50 bucks on a rhode island red a few days ago...

I was saddened ; ;

It happened when someone in the thread said something about god and religion and what not then, when someone responds with a defense etc athiest (retards) come in and try to put thier spin in it.

whether athiest like it or not there is more proof that god existed than not, your beating a dead horse or trying to with it. in other words no one is going to listen to you....

I beleive in the bing band theory etc and all that stuff. But athiests are something else and just annoying.

oh yeah and bump*

Actually, the existence of deities is non-falsifiable. No one can prove that God does or does not exist. If you do have solid proof of the existence of God, you should get some kind of award and a whole bunch of money...

There's my two gil. (And... now I'm broke. That's just great.)

One of my favorite quotes is ... and I forget where I first saw it, but it is:

"I'd rather believe in God and die, only to find that he did not exist, than to deny his existence and die, only to find that he did."

And on that note, as well as on-topic of this thread. Although I am straight, I have no issue with those who are bi or gay. It's not my place to judge someone or preach at them for their "sinful" ways. Only you know your own heart. And if you believe in God, then He knows too. Are you a mean and vindictive person? or a supportive and kind one? That's all that matters, imho.

Everyone has what others may call "indiscretions". It does not make anyone right or wrong (except in the cases of cruelty or crime) ... simple truth is, no one is perfect.

Eh, Pascal's Wager is a tad flawed. It rules out the possibility of the existence of other gods who may or may not approve of humans rejecting them. A false dichotomy.

But I digress. To each his own.

Is that who said that? As I said, I can't remember ... it's a little mental condition called "old age". XD

The thing about that quote is that, standing alone and w/o knowing the beliefs of the person who originally said it, it is not god-specific. That is, it does not refer to the christian god, the buddist's god, the muslem god, etc. So, it kinda fits into any religion and doesn't directly exclude any other gods. So, I agree, to each his own. :)

what i mean is more people think god is real over.. the others whom try to prove that he does not.

Atheism is simply not having a religion, and not believing in a deity. It does not make someone retarded, annoying, nor does it make someone argue. It is more so the lack or religion, and not anti-religion.

I'm an atheist, and I couldn't care less what you believe in. Believe in god? Does that work for you? Well, then that's wonderful (and I actually mean that, not sarcasm), stick with it. It's just not for me.

Yeah, there are some atheists (myself not included) who will go out of their way to treat religious people like crap, but there are also religious people who will try to make atheists feel like crap. I think both parties are just as guilty for treating the other like crap, and I actually get angry when an atheist attacks someone religious just because. That probably wouldn't fit into your stereotype of what I am, though.

If God is the creator of all things living.. then he obviously must of created homosexuals.

Concerning you quote, {clears throat}, let's speak opposite of this view point for a minute for those that believe more so in "science" and "evolution" rather than creationism. If there is no god, and we all evolved, then would homosexuality not be seen as a genetic defect? Here is my reasoning. No where else in the physical world, in any phylum, class, race, species, whatever do we find animals that are homosexual. Why, because that automatically would kill their chance to mate and procreate( the main function of animals we would consider inanimate and without thoughts and emotions)- they basically are born, grow/feed, mature, and then mate and pass on their genes through offspring. Well then, if the main function of life(in a genetic sense) is to precreate and pass our genes on (survival of the fittest) then homosexuality kills the chance for animals to live on past their present generation. Ok, so if human beings are animals in the same sense as evolutionists would say, just a primate, then our only purpose on this planet is to pass our genes on.

So my question is, why do we find NO OTHER ANIMALS IN THE WORLD who are born gay? There aren't any. Now, yeh, you may find a dumb dog who humps other boy dogs because he doesn't really know the difference, but you're never going to find any animal that is born homosexual from birth. For those who say they were born homosexual, I don't see how this happens. It would appear it is a "choice" to be homosexual, even if it's made at a young age. It just doesn't happen. Is it a genet defect then?

Aren't dolphins and like creatures homosexual for like the first ten years of their life? Try googling animal homosexuality, it has quite a few (sometimes sickeningly graphic) results.
After the first ten years of their life they acquire a heterosexual partner, but still remain "close" to the previous homosexual partner. This, I think could be described as being "born gay".

But I think you're right in the fact that the vast mojority of thing aren't born gay, it's a result of environmental factors.

*Hands over 2cents*

(N.B. Post is mostly invalid, my own fault for being late =) *new bismarckian*)

Your entire post fails at its goal to get everyone here to google this so called 'animal homosexuality' as you call it.

athiest (retards)

Simply because you choose to believe that the Earth was created and the inhabitants thereof are continually monitored by some deity or other, and choose to live your life according to that, does not imply in any way that Retards (atheists, like myself) are obliged to take it seriously.

You know Stanflame, I'm sure you're a pretty good guy IRL, but it's people like
you who really make me dislike christiandom, any other religion for that matter,
you love god, great. Leave it at that, everyone else shut the fuck up.

This thread is about the gays not omgzOrzZ Jesus > Homos!

Make another thread for that worthless crap debate or I'll just
go over to the feedback forum and ask them to lock the thread since
it is no longer relevant to gays in FFXI but rather some butthurt
people.

that is all.

I did not start the religion talk in the thread it got derailed into that after few posters mentioned it and i felt like commenting, i am not that narrowminded -.-. I understand athisthism and where it stems from, as in most scientists are, and most of them are human like anyone else.

its the types the above poster's mentioned that i dislike >.>. and i seem them on a whole bunch of forums.

i does not matter what religion you are its odd to hate someone because of a choice... or better yet how they choose to be. i just tried to bring this topic from phail, i did not start the religions talk :P.

it was bound to happen in the thread too.. does not matter. when the Original poster posted in the method that they did no one took it seriously and thats why it is where it is now..

if they did not respond the way they did, it would not have been like this...

Zander wins.

Time for the thread to go into nothingness.

im gay and i play video games all the time, im on the sylph server though. my bf plays too, and i know a few other gay players in game; bi ones too for that matter....
youd be surprised how many gay players they are, they just dont say they are gay (often) because of how people will treat them for it.
