+4I've been farming SIlver coins and necklaces and I always kill the NM's on my rounds (yeah, Im that guy) and Ive never seen such a useless knife.

i was helping my friend get bead-necklaces for some quest... at lvl 21 i got six shields and nine daggers from mister Silent... then i figured out i couldn't sell them >_< dropped all but one of each. i'm using this shield right now even though i have a better one, sheerly because i want to use it for somthing
I got this drop while having a Mapple Shield equipped... naturally the Mapple Shield went out the window! Nice drop for those of us WHMs who dont have much gil to spare!!!

I'm fairly sure I killed Eyy Mon the Ironbreaker for this drop who is also in Giddeus. Or it was one of the ninja Yags. I don't think I fought Zhuu Buxu.

i heard the shield is for a quest am i wrong? i saw it while hunting for the giddeus key and killed him.
soloed it at 14 ^^ my mnk beat his *** somehow...

hi i'd like to know something.can you sell this shield at the auction house?
If you look in the upper right hand corner of the 'long description' box, you will see a round icon (it can be impossible to read if you're on PS2 - I know as I used to play it there until I saw how much better looking it is on the PC).
This item has the green icon that stands for 'Exclusive'. Exclusive items can never be traded to other players or sold to the AH. Some of them can be sold to specific NPCs or traded as part of a quest.
The other icon you can see is 'Rare' - rare means that you can only hold one of them at a time in inventory (including on-person, mog safe, or storage) - for most items. I guess some Rares you can have several of (spell scrolls).
If you can't find an NPC who is willing to buy an Ex drop from you, you can always trade them to the Outpost sales NPCs, who will give your nation region points for them... that's better than dropping it at least.
I can't even begin to say how many Aspir Knifes and Parana Shields I had dropped before I started doing that.

The Outpost sales NPCs tell me neither the shield nor the knife (NM drops related to mission 2-3) can't be accepted. Does your character have to be from Windurst or have your nation in control of the region or something?
Can I solo him with a (Elvaan) WAR 20/THF 10? I have been to the treasure room but didn't go looking for him because my ls said I would die if I tried to fight him.
Also the SanDoria embassy guy asked for two shields not one I thought? Is there some other Yagudo I have to fight as well?
EDIT: The answer is yes I could, though his ninjitsu is initially makes the battle look like it's going to be tough. His missle attacks don't hit but his spells did little by little. And I couldn't engage him with just arrows, even after ninjitsu wore off, he dodged most of my arrows. You have to engage him in melee, and then suddenly you'll see your missle attacks hit at a more normal rate.
I fought him twice to get two shields for mission 2.3 starting in windy, but I am curious if there was another yaghudo that could have been fought for a shield.

yea, I went to bastok first so there was no need for me to find this shield. and I'm guessing the knife is pretty much almost worthless to, since I cant find a quest that needs it.
The knife is excellent if you have a THF12/WHM6 or something along those lines... you will drain MP from some of your 'victims', which can allow you to keep fighting with much less rest than otherwise.

I got this and the knife last night in about 5 min.with no problem,never saw no worms though.If i cant sell them what can i do with them?
dude...I just got this and the knife yesterday, and there were no worms. The guy was a pushover. Oh well...any clue what I can do with it being a Level 21 Monk in Windurst?
I killed this guy, and have the shield, but I don't have a clue what worms.... were there worms??

Im a 25 Blm and sad to sad ... his shadow resisted my spells and that meant 0 Mp for me and no chance to kill him with my lowly club :( very sad

can i get a lil more detail on that mission ......and how many shields u need i have 4 so far and it kinda bothers not having a specific idea onwhat exacly they are for thnx
