The first armor should be clothes. Try to collect cloth armor for each slot... At your level i would recommend to kill Spider and collect the spider silk. Train your tailoring skill and make yourself your own armor (raw silk). Combine 2 Spider Silks and you will get Silk Swatches. Combine your Silk |

The one and only spell you won't be able to use is the 29-level-spell 'Imbue Fire Opal'. This spell can only be used by Wizards that are followers of the diety Solusek Ro.

You can always continue to solo, i solo'ed all my life as a wizard (actually level 15). It is sometimes hard though. At level 4 i would suggest to stay in Nektulos Forest and kill spiderling, Spiders (collect the Spider Silk, don't sell it) and so on. You will gain levels slower now, but you should |

The main attribute is, like for every other pure caster, INT. When I created my wizard I put also some points to STR, so that i can carry a bit more. AGI or STA would be nice too, with more STA you will get more HP (but not noticable more). Wizards are harder to solo than other characters, they have |

You are talking about one special AoE, the rain-spells. But there are also DD-AoEs which radiate from a target (or yourself, talking of PBAoE - PointBlankAreaofEffect) and DirectDamage all mobs within its radius.
See the post of jaylo, it has good information about using AoEs...

First bit of advice: Yer a Wizard, get used to hunting blues if you plan on soloing.
Second bit of advice: You will never have great AC or really even Decent AC.
I have found that AC isn't really an important factor with a Wizard. We are a wimpy lot. We can dish it out but we really can't tak |

Don't worry about it too much. I'm at 40-60 with 1hb and 2hs and 0 in 2hb. (maxed with 1hs) and I'm doing fine considering all my weapons so far have been 1hs.
It may come back to haunt you if you ever run by an uber weapon that isn't 1hs. Though that's not too common still you should practice ea |

As they suggest, I'd pump all your starting points in Str.
Stamina you can make up with items. And your agility is already high being a Halfling, no need to pump in more points to get few more AC. |

If you can turn spell effects off and your clip plane down all the way it should help with some lag. Also if you turn on names that'll help lower it. Try selecting less of the new models that came with Luclin. Shut them all down and you'll lag alot less. Lastly, there's a command to switch to se |

Hail Durana Vox,
At level 28, LOIO is still a good zone - grouping at the Sarnak fort or soloing in the Sarnak fort vicinity. If you are impatient for new scenery, however, you could head next door to Frontier Mountains, and group at the giant fort. You could also go one zone further again to The |

Don't even think of going to everfrost until L22. That way you can fear kite them with panic animal. If you are new to this type of manuver I would recomend to start hunting there half way into 22. That way you have a few extra tries to get the feel for fear kiting. Once you get to L 24 or 25 you mi |

I for one love tangling weed. Used in the right circumstances it is awesome! No not for fear kiting but when grouped it is my choice over snare. The casting time is almost instant it so fast and only cost 10 mana. Perfect for chain ulling and dungeons where you just dont want to chase the mob. Timin |

Considering you are headed to Everfrost soon to hunt the infamous mammoths, I really wouldn't worry about armor right now. If you fear kite correctly, you can kill mammoths with minimal damage. If you incur an add during the fight though, try to snare them both and then find Tundra Jack on track a |

Don't head to Everfrost til you get 22 and get PA. You will definitely need PA to fear kite )
You can solo there til 33!!!! And make some very good $$....
Buy large sewing kits they will hold the giant tusk for you.

Ahhh... Stonebrunt Mountains... here's the skinny on this PITA but ranger-friendly zone:
1) Most of the higher level animals follow certain paths, i.e. across both the eastern and western mountains and directly south of the kitty city. Learn these paths and you can pull from them easily. Pandas |

I have not been there for a while, but when I was last there the special forage items were not appearing. Has this been fixed?
As for a place to pull, I spent about 3 or 4 levels there. 6 Wak's and I Swiftclaw sash to show for my efforts. I have had some trouble selling the Wak's for the price |

Getting yourself fully outfitted in raw silk is a good start. However, the other posters are right to tell you that your AC is unlikely to ever be very good.
