If your facing a caster whose main weapon is the pet (magicians and necros) root the pet first but not the caster. A lot of casters can get overconfident and will try to get you with a spell, and forget that the pet is out of range to help them. Then root and snare the fool, and hop around shooting |

Congratulations! Glad to see some rangers out there willing to go the slow pace, and build their character. I think you have some great advise there from Rendale, and would wish to add a few notes.
Don't overlook blunt weapons. It's easy to do for rangers, since slashers are so common place. But a |

Indeed! Anyone who thinks Rangers are a bad class, doesn't know what you just said. I remember that I tanked, tracked, and pulled for a group one night that was made up of 2 druids, 2 clerics, a bard, and me, the ranger. Did it go well? Let's just say there were no deaths, got through 3/4ths of my l |

Keep in mind that the BIG difference between /pet sit and /pet guard here is this
SIT: pet stays while you run.. if you get attacked it comes to assist you.. when the fight is over the pet will sit right where it is and not move.. (can be good and bad.. specifically in dungeons)

I am a newbie.(play time on character, ~8 days total) Level 13 3/4. What did I pick, way before reading all of this stuff, or anything really on the different characters? A high Elf Wizard. Why? Becasue I liked "Merlin" in "Excalibur". So, right off the bat you are laughing at me already. Go ahead, |

Fighting willowisps is a good moneymaker for level 8-12, but frankly, you can do better after level 12. Frankly, the wisps do not drop greater lightstones all that frequently. You'll be lucky to get one greater lightstone per 7-10 kills, and the experience slows to a crawl after level 12 or so.

I think that is a perfect lvl for grouping to hunt sand giants. Just soloed my first one today at lvl 39. You could also travel to Rathe Mountains for the same reason, more giants in that zone. Hope this helps.

Make a /pet back off hot key.
When you send your pet in, if it is not going to a target that you would like it to, hit your back off key.
I find that sending in a spell first, will alow you to bring your mob into a selected area of your choice.
As it gets closer, make sure you hit pet follo |

lol, crafted bracers are ok. the conversian ratio seems to be id rather have 1 ac than 2 str. so... 3 str=1 ac. I still like my hero bracer/scavanger combo. also those 5 str 3 dex wrist just plain suck. allthe stuff on me gives at least 9 ac not counting my ac/hp rings and earrings. my ac is 6 |

My suggestion to you is go to DreadLands. Its time to leave
OT. Most MoBs are turning green cept Tigers and an occasional Sarnak knight. Get in a group on one of the walls
at Karnor Castle, outside of course. Expect to get awesome xp up to about 49-50 and then its time to move inside Karnors.

My advice to you is forget WC. Stay on Kunark the xp is WAY better and you can still be close to home base. Go to Field of Bone, if thats getting green start heading into Kurns
Tower. You should be able to fight the entrance, any problems you can zone out. You are getting to the point in your lvls |

I have played all four of the pure caster type classes. My secondary in my 14th lvl Erudite Wizard, and my primary a 36th lvl Erudite Enchanter. The wizard is far from being nerfed. However, the race and items you start with do make a difference. Erudites start with the highest int, and I don't know |

You may want to save a fair amount of those practices up for your spell research which is dificult to get going and is important in the future as well you may want to save some of those points for specialization. |
