| While I am not that level yet I do have some observations. I have seen rangers in that level range (40 to 50) soloing in the Eastern Wastes. Also, I know some of the high level rangers in my guild hunt in the Wakening Lands or the Great Divide. | ||||

| Crushbone is your next step. I am a L44 High Elf wiz... Trust me you won't like undead. The Chess board in BB is all undead. You really need L8 spells and more mana to survive long in CB. Get some silver jade ear rings or if u got 20p or so get a Skull of Jhen Tra (spelling is not correct). | ||||

| OK, I read somewhere that if I have the Shovel of Ponze (for the Earth pet) I will get a higher lvl pet when I summon one. Is that true, and if so, where do I find this shovel?? There are different items for the different pets, but I only listed that one cause it seemed silly to make this too lo | ||||

| A good place for Exp past 40 and till 50 is the dreadlands. Finding a group usually isn't too hard and exp is fairly good for the time. | ||||

| Ok I still use flame lick at level 31. For a few reasons. First Ill take any and every advantage I can get, and it uses almost no mana. Second when in a group, it is a good way to agro a mob off of a caster when taunt fails. Yes the d.o.t. is small for the mobs I fight now, and the ac debuff is | ||||

| Focus items do not increase the lvl of the pet summoned - only increase certain stats. For instance if u summon a fire pet it will probably have more HP, Sta, or other stats. I'm not saying those are the exact stats enhanced but u get the idea. Also, pets do the same amount of dmg with a weapon o | ||||

| Before anyone asks I'll just tell ya whicj race to pick... THE GREAT WOOD ELVES!!!! I did this and doesn't regret... These are the reasons WHY: 1) Access to both small and medium sized armor 2) Forage and hide(Think all ranger are gettin' this later on, but wood elves starts with it) | ||||

| It isn't that hard to get sewing up.... I got mine up to about 70 just from doing the bundle of gnoll fur quest when I was in BB a LONG way back... | Actually a good place to solo at this level is bloodgills in LOIO. There are 4 pair of bg in the lake. You can use harmony and pull them to the shore and solo them. Be sure if your swimming skill is not high to use levitate. They hit hard but have low hit points. I pushed myself thru 45 doing this. | ||||

| Contrary to popular belief, the focus items work at all levels. The effect just becomes really noticable at 34. Verified this myself, started using the torch at 24, got all the rest at 30.
