Its good to see your enthusiasm for the class but a few things you should know before you hit 30+ and begin to find that some things begin to change. First of all rangers are meant to be a dual wielding class and the best damage producing hybrids in the game. All because we get dual wield and if you |

I have a problem. the other day I helped a guy out and sold him some leather padding, and told him what the recipe for FS breastplate was. I thought he would give me the going rate for a stack of leather padding but he gives me some cobalt arms. I then thought I could get better armor for myself as |

As far as I see it the choices are to skulk around in runnyeye waiting for people to sell Blackened Alloy Armour pieces, but this may be hazardous, or to save up for Ry Gorr armour, but I haven't tried either yet as I have been over in Lake of Ill Manners collecting goblin bracers for Faydark Ringma |

Crystalized long sword has the exact same stats as the icetooth, plus it's primary and secondary slot usable. |

He said stat-wise. As for your little list all races are great to role play, forage as a racial ability sucks, and wood elf women are also the easiest (You know what I mean. Not many half-elves with a blue tinge to their skin.) You are right on the rest, but still, nothing to get aggro about. =P |

And Rangers can Track, SoW and Duel Wield. The first two being the greatest of those abilities due to the fact that you get hybrid hps AND you can not wear plate.
And Amen to the post original post (Amen cause was a little preachy. he he but good)
By the way, I play a sk and there are a lot of ot |

You, a tank, got Cobalt Vambraces in exchange for leather padding at lvl 27 and traded it away?! The arms themselves have more AC than the Crafted Breastplate you are dreaming off! You won't be seeing armor that good for the next many levels... (sorry, just had to get this out of my system) |

I was still mostly in banded until the late 20's (still wear some in the 30's).
Blowfish is correct, the choices are very limited, especially for an untwinked ranger.
The usual progression is:leather...banded...(some)Ivy/(some)Ry'Gorr.
It is really rather pointless IMHO to pay for the mino |

Anador, your strategy sounds good. Keep working on your fletching, and head over to Sister Isle/Kelethin/Kaladim/Butcherblock and work on your trueshot. It's a great bow, and since you roleplay a bit, it will add to your overall feeling of being a ranger. |

You may want to put together a group, and head to Stonebrunt and start working on the Wak of the Frozen Skies quest...your panic animal and tracking will give you a leg up on the competition, but you will probably need some help with the pandas. |

I'd suggest heading to Everfrost, and killing some Mammoths for their tusks. Fear kiting with panic animal, and the tusks are worth 9pp+. |

Slow down there...for every plus, there is a minus. That is why each race has its' following.
Best Wis...worst Str
Best Agility...worst Sta
Access to small and medium armor...all the good ranger only armor is medium...
Great to roleplay...yep roleplay that you are one of a billion other woodel |

I'd say practice ALL of your weapon skills, but keep using 2HS until your damage bonuses kick in; at that point, you should switch to dual weild until you need to lower your aggro, then switch to 2hs for a bit, and you'll be glad you have the skill to do it. |

I know you said you were a newbie, but 20th level and you don't know how to get rid of your pet? Ok, here is the most important thing a mage can do. LEARN your pet commands, like /pet get lost will cause your pet to be dismissed. If you don't learn to controll your pet, no one will want to group |
