| The reason you want to build up the other skills is simple. When you get to use dual wield your stamina will drop quickly if you are tanking high HP mobs in a group. | Let me put it to you this way: PALADINS SUCK! Trust me, most pallies i have talked to (at high levels) HATE their class. As for rangers, some like and some don't. I strongly suggest you don't waste your time on a pally that you will end up hating either way, though. Just my 2cp. Genaan Huntaa | ||||

| Get yourself Icetooth Claws. They are Magic Lore 1hs 11 damage 29 delay. I still use em at 39. Max hit with my own buffs is currently at around 40ish which isnt too bad. Get that and a Crystaline Sword for the offhand which has same exact stats as claws and you can be quite the powerhouse. at 39 you | ||||

| Max I have hit normally at level 37 is 157dmg with a throneblade (hahahahahaha 123 str) with 756AC 122 agi 109dex sta112. My normal attack is double for around 90. Crits in low 200's high 100's and crippling blows are usually 230dmg +. Mind you this is 123str. Now with my 1h weapons, my max hit is 3 | ||||

| I don't play on a PvP server, but I can tell you this much: It is true that Rangers do the most damage of the 3 hybrids (bards excluded, I don't know much about them) and have the least HP, unless you pump up your stamina (which is a bad idea, IMO). | Rangers have better damage than paladins, get better bows and weapons and more attack skills (dual wield is the best example). Paladins have better HP usually and better defense. The problem is, they are not as good of a tank as a Warrior, because Warriors have higher HP and AC (in my experience). R | ||||

| One minor correction. Rangers get SOW at lvl 30. Used to have to wait till 39 OUCH!! Track rocks for sure. Pallies do get Lay On Hands one time per eq day. I think they heal better in general than rangers. They also get Rez later I think. They can wear plate armor, ranger can't. I think r | ||||

| I think DEs make the best mages, just choose to be agnostic and you shouldn't run into any faction problems. You can hunt anywhere around freeport too, EC, WC, without being kos.
