Go for an Axe of the Ironback. Awesome 2handed axe. Got me from level 9 to 17 rather quickly. With the 16damage and 37 delay it rocks and its magic so you can woop on willowisps and ghouls once ya hit like 12th. The best thing to do for armour is go with banded and make sure you pick up strength and |

Two things...One, unless you're EXCEEDINGLY patient, I'd recommend dumping at least 1 or 2 points into this early on, hotkey it on the same keyset you use for combat and non-combat (during combat, I cycle through sense heading, taunt, and kick, off-combat it's tracking, forage, and sense heading). |

How do I get this? Initially, I thought it meant crafted by another player but that can't be right since it seems that players can make only up to a certain type (banded?). I've also heard that it's a reward for doing a certain quest, which seems to make more sense. However, if so, I can't find any |

This quest is given byt the named centaurs in the Centaur village in South Karana. You need to get some items and gems for each piece of armor.
The easiest one is the gauntlets for which you need an aviak charm, looted from an aviak Avocet in SK. I am not too sure about the gem but you can check it |

When choosing equipment, make sure it lists your race, whatever it may be, and your class (RNG).
If your race and class aren't listed, you can't use/wear it. As far as your skills go, you need to visit your ranger guild and put a practice point into the skills you use at this level-you'll see when |

Wow...you can be quite wrong...
Rangers for one are the most useful in a group as a puller. You need to perfect those skills especially, and if you do so, you'll be wanted in their group from then forward. You can easily track monsters that the group may want to face (which essentially turns you |

Well, everyone's main concern in a group is usually downtime. This is why rangers tend to have trouble finding a group. People feel as if they really don't contribute in lowering the downtime. They'd rather have the pure warrior to be the superior tank, the cleric to constantly heal them, the enchan |

Well you're right about the statement that it's not worth putting it into melee or casting skills..
Then at lvl 20 you have specialization:
What is it?
Specialisation is the means by which a caster increases their mana efficiency in a given area of magic. Once an int based caster reaches Leve |

In my opinion it depends. If I am in a good grp wherer everyone can dish out some damage i dual wield. Where typically you do not do as much damage. If Im in a group where Im the melee guy (soloing or small grps) I break out the 2hs stuff that does more damage. I switch back and forth so I can keep |

Forget the compass. The sense heading works just fine if you work the hell out of it. My sense heading at level 30 is like 145 or 150. Afte rthe first 30 or 40 it moved quickly up and always works.

I agree about the part on harmony and pulling. There is no better puller in the game than a ranger. A ranger can track better than a druid and take more damage if the pulled creature gets a swing in.
Besides right now I have no trouble getting a group at 30th level. Up till 25th or 28th level I w |

I would add the following advice, from significant experience (level 33 Ranger). As a ranger, go for the fastest weapons you can find. Leave the big strike 2hs weapons to the warrior or paladin; look up the logs and you will find out that you do as much or most often more damage than any member of |
