ok, if you are going to make a human warrior you might as well be a half elf warrior instead. For the number of reasons : 1 they have slightly better stats, 2 they have infra vision (wich helps alot because not being able to see can be a big pain, 3 they have more of a choice of places to start out |

Also remember that 2H weapons get a damage bonus. Duel wielding 1H is good for caster mobs. Keep up all the skills too! You never know when you will run into a better weapon than you already have! |

My suggestion would be the "root and shoot" method, also known as Kiting. Or actually, my personal favorite is to snare & shoot instead.
Get yourself a decent bow (I would hope you already have one). Then get yourself a whole MESS of arrows. Your best bet is to either fletch them yourself (the |

Thank you and AMEN brother on those DA*N warriors. It seems 95% never heard of taunt. I am always maxed on it and the magic user types love me :-) If anyone should know and master taunt it's tanks (warriors, Pallys, Shadow knights). They seem to think just cause they hit hard they don't need it |

I can never seem to reason why there aren't more Dark Elf wizards. We have good int, agi, and dex. Str is better than most lighties. Being evil isn't so bad. Its a plus. Don't have to worry about faction like the lighties at later levels. (btw I reccomend worshiping Solusek Ro or being Agnostic)

I have to agree with all of you rangers are the best natural taunters i've seen. With 2 yaks procing we are pretty much screwed. But i also noticed someone else saw what i learned....agility is the key. I have a agility of 156 and i probably only take 2 or 3 hits per battle if in a group. Finall |

If you want to solo post-20, then I suggest you do a few things:
1. get a good bow,a lot of cheap arrows-200 or more and max archery, if you haven't already;
2. practice conjuration using the firefly spell? Why? Because you won't be able to use your decent dot you'll get at lvl 30 otherwise;

If you read my posting, you will notice that I say do NOT taunt if grouped with a Warrior or Paladin. This is because Rangers are "natural" taunts and they do not have the AC or HP to back this up. If a Ranger is grouped with a Warrior or Paladin and the Ranger also is Taunting, the other tank will |

It is very unfortunate that you have stopped playing your Ranger. Rangers do have a very important role in EQ.
My posting was not meant as Ranger-bashing, but was meant to aid people in playing their Rangers better. Rangers are offensive weapons, that, when used correctly, can have devastating ef |

I have never played any charicter with duel wield, It is the ability to hold two one handed weapons. So if this is all than why is there a chance of it working or not? can you not hold the weapon if that does not happen, or will it just hit with only one weapon? Any responce wealcome. |

When i first started dual weilding i had a peircing in offhand and 1hs in main. most of the time the only weapon i would hit with was the one in my main hand because my dual weild was low. |

I must agree, I am new to Everquest but have played roll playing games for years (D & D) and the like and was excited about playing a Ranger. I find I level slower than the other classes and things like forage, track, and archery is very slow to lean |

Well i dont know that much =) but i thought i would share what i do know. The warrior/druid parts of us work together. For example when fighting a black mob we can snare and kite it for a bit to where its health is at least 1/3rd gone. Which gives us an advantage. Then you can just melee the stupid |
