One other word of advice for higher levels - focus on what rangers do well and groups will love you. Rangers are great for their ability to track - keep group members aware of what is up and what you are tracking. Rangers are the best taunters in the game (which some people view as a negative). K |

I have 2 questions about the epic weapons.
What is the Slow percentage of Earthcaller?
What will the Haste buff of Swiftwind stack with?
Thanks for the help. |

I am playing a 18 level Ranger right now & some of the above comments are valid. However, I don't think the above issues are the problem. I think that the assumption that Rangers are more than they are is part of it.
Example, I grouped with a level 15 Druid in EK the other day. I thought we were |

Let me clarify...
Bonds of Force is an AOE snare spell. It slows the mobs to walking speed while you run. You can easily outrun them, stop, cast an AOE Nuke spell (Column spells seem to work best) and begin running again. After getting in your hit or two with AOE, your friends open up on them |

Due to the fact that my main charater is a ranger, i have been guilty of all the above but to learn form my mistakes. Now at lvl 23 i have found my self being decline by many groups just because the fact im a ranger, which leads to my new lvl 10 druid. Sorry but rangers lack group skill period and h |

250 plat is a LITTLE money? My wiz is not in any way twinked and my total take for his career 1 to 8 is less than 15 plat. If you go straight to level 12 there is a lot of cool stuff that you miss on the way. I have always found the struggle at low levels to be the most exciting time of any RPG typ |

Is it just me or do Rangers seem to get ripped off in EQ? We should start with a better Sense Heading and Forage for one thing. Tracking is crippled by the fact that we have no range for the targets and we are way behind in archery skills from the start. Maybe the class should be re-named "quasiw |

My wife recently liberated a pair of Jaggedpine Crooks from gnolls. (Gotta love track!) She only needs one and would like to sell the other. She has only been playing 3 days and I have been a little more than that. What would something like this go for?

Well it seems that Verant has decided that we have to swim all the time to get the nicest items... The parts to Staff of the Wheel are all underwater and part of the epic quest involves going to Kedge Keep. Just as a bit of advice, I would suggest everyone go get a Fishbone Earring. It holds unli |

I agree our spells leave much to be desired, but i disagree hit the ideas we are forced to solo. Who is a better puller for a group than a Ranger? I think we should be able to craft some items as you suggest from things we forage, it would add interest to the game certainly. The tracking issues were |

i have played a human warrior for 22 levels, and i can say that, while human warriors aren't the best of the best for warriors, the are definitely average. I am creating a new warrior (a barbarian) for this reason: he is bigger and stronger than humans but still have good faction and can wear huma |

I started my ranger for the express purpose of their soloing skills. At level 19 the best place to solo IMO is in Lake Rathe. The guards can take you to at least 22nd and after that you can run up to SK to hunt the aviaks there. I am 37th now and still do most of my hunting solo. from 35th to presen |

I'm speaking from my personal opion here, but I think you should choose GJB, Wurm, Felhammer in that order. GJB's have a lot delay and decent, if not superb, damge for that delay. Having a lower delay allows you to hit more often and dole out a higher amount of damage, plus you can dual wield them, |

your best bet on a safe city would be kelethin, qeynos, freeport, felwithe, rivervale,
ak'anon, erudin, paineel, kaladim, and halas.all have racial tention to dark elves, iksar, ogers, and trolls, these are just the main citys that are most accepting.

As far as I know, the only race KOS in Freeport is the iksar. However, just being non-KOS is the advantage of some of the other races. All of this stuff is really good, the main point is rangers don't have obviously powerful stuff. What we do have are flexible abilities which are only as useful as you can make them. I have to agree completely with the previous post. A tarnished bastard sword is quite appropriate for you lvl. I was in a group of around 17 and we took down Genix Mucktail (who drops the PGT) quite easily, a group of 15's or so should be able to do it if you are more less 100 percent when he spaw |

Ok, you definitely dont want to solo. So, your options are extremely limited, and its going to be slow no matter where you choose. (the creators of EQ, in their latest post announcement, state the game promotes group play). If youre still at 19, go to the Oasis of Marr. Hunt the Deepwater Crocs o |
