At lvl 5 I only recieved a bubble per stack of chips and food/drink.
Im not sure its worthwhile if it takes 6 chips for this quest compared to the 4 chip quest in Kaladim. |

Has anyone tried to start this quest without doing the previous shackle quests? If I could skip the others that would be grand.. |

I heard that you turn them in to some one in kalidim. suposedly you get enough exp to go up lvls with 50 to 100. |

After spending a lot of time in Warslik Woods I was finally able to forage "Petrified Redwood" (nonstackable).
The above says that we need petrified wood, and not redwood...is this a mistake, or do I keep foraging? |

After yelling for an invis for about 10 minutes in OT I said screw it. I clicked on my bottle of SoW and I ran right down the middle of the Gargoyles and feighned dead in the middle of the tunnel. To my surprise the Gargoyles did not aggro on me. I don't think my lvl made a diff (39) but who knows. |

You are extremely mistaken. With our foraging at 50, we indeed can forage zone specific items. I have personally foraged all there is to forage for this quest, several times. Please do not misinform other readers.
Please keep these posts informative and take the whines to other boards. |

You can start this quest as soon as you can get the quest item from Master Niska. If she responds to "I will be your personal courier." Then you're home free. You do not need to complete the previous shackles. |

Indeed, all iksars have forage, capped at 50.
These plains pebbles used to be no drop, but aren't any more. My ranger foraged them in the Karanas when they were no drop, he only started foraging these and other special items at skill 100, which is why people assume iksars can't forage special ite |

Actually Invisibility DOES drop when you try to trade, even though Icon remains, but Sneak doesn't. (I've watched a Monk do this bit exactly and he became visible as he traded. I invis'd him once he'd gotten the Tektite - BTW this was with my DE Enchanter - my main is VERY KoS at the Outpost). |

I don't understand this. Are you saying the Sand Coin was on the ground? If so, it must be a Ground Spawn since the one you forage is No-Drop! |

This is the most simple way to get to around Level 10-12 very quickly. But you need to have some cash on hand to do it.
Say a Stack of Bone chips usually goes for 2-5pp each. If you already have a character that has a few platnium on them then you should go and give a few to your new character |

The two types of gold nugget from FM can both be sold to vendors, so don't use that as a test for the right type of nugget. Just get someone to cast Identify on it. You want the Frontier Fool's Gold.
By the way, a few of these items can be traded. Just buy a Plains Pebble from someone. Unfort |

Wooohooo! just got it finally! and it's Rile's Sand Coin, not Rile's Sea Shell (hey, i'm tired and brain dead! =P) and it looks just like a Gunthak Sea Shell.
I was on the Chessboard island by ocean just west of the Iksar Master. my loc was n445 3110 on the sand next to water.

I have a lvl 41 ranger that I've been playing for over a year(would be 60 by now if it weren't for all the characters I've started on the side...including an Iksar monk :) ). Err...skill in Forage does indeed affect whether or not you can forage unique items, BUT...you first start foraging rare items around 50 ('tis when I did), and Iksar monks have Forage of 60 (or so I've heard), thereby letting them forage these items. |
