Iryss was raised by her maternal grandmother, Rah'Tal. Her parents and older brother were murdered on their way to a merchant in Crossroads. An Alliance Brigade had begun an attack upon the village, not caring if victims were Horde warriors or innocent civilians. In her heart, Iryss harbored a thirst for revenge that still to this day has not been quenched. Rah'Tal was a well known hunter, and she passed along the sacred skill of communicating with animals to her grandaughter. With this knowledge and determination, Iryss traveled far away to the great city of Orgrimmar in search of more training and to become worthy enough to serve the War Chief Thrall and the fellow leaders of the Horde. The stronghold city was greater than she ever imagined. Finally seeing the other races who serve the horde and their people was a defining moment for Iryss. The feeling of being alone in fighting her battle against the Alliance began to fade away. There were Orc brothers and sisters, clever Trolls, and the calm, spiritual Taurens were also there. Even the mysterious Foresaken were seen about the busy streets of Orgrimmar. As the seasons passed by, Iryss grew stronger and more skilled in the art of hunting. Through her many battles and missions, she became Honored with all the races except for one. The Undead proved to be very private, keeping their plans for the future secret from all others. Knowing there is still a long journey with many trials ahead of her, Iryss has never forgotten the memory of her family, and the promise of vengence she made to herself. She continues to train and sharpen her skill and abilities, while serving the Horde where ever is needed.
