You have to get the totem from the quest, but the spells come from your trainer.
I got an earth spell first, but didn't have the totem, so it didn't work! Had to find the quest info from the forum!

Spent most of my time yesterday mining so i could get the reciepe to build my own Heavy Shot. I then discover that one of the ingredients is Coarse Stone and the vendor will only sell me 2 =/
Surely this is mineable and not drop only.

Well i just found that it can be mined from Tin Veins. Yet to discover one but i've only explored Dun Morogh and Loch Modan. Anyone know the nearest area to obtain Tin ? |

Time to do a little more exploring. Havent come acroos any yet but there is Tin and Silver in Loch Modan. Only lvl 15 with my Dwarf/Hunter so not really explored the East half of that area fully. |

Oben Ravenclaw's "Ghost" is in one of the deeper parts of Ban'ethil Barrow Den, talk to him. He's in a small room protected by Augers (you need to take a little bridge to get to the room).
The Drop rate is truly about 1/50, but at least you'll get a ton of linens from killing the Shama |
