I have to disagree with what many of you are saying. The number one role of a tank is to TUANT the second role is to take damage and last is to inflict damage. To be a good taunter u have to be able to deal enough damage to pull them off the casters.
Thats why i think an orge warrior maxed out |

As for being ugly, I'm happy that my looks offend. :)
When you see me, there is no mistaking my role.

While we strongly encouraged to do this, it is not always possible, especially with a Ranger around or a Wizard who unloads to quickly.

Just FYI, Lay Hands isn't a complete heal. It only heals approximately (Level * 27) HPs. Unless they changed it anytime soon, but it doesn't even give ME a complete heal at level 44.
Just thought I'd clear up that little, correct me if I'm wrong. |

Invis and SoW I agree with completely... But gate?
You got a good point there, but not many of us have cash to blow on Gate Potions. We'd rather be buying Deepwater armor =)

Is it true (confirmed) that you can complete this quest with the glowing mask from the scryer instead of the one from the skeletal monk?
Thanks! |

interesting point there Lasae. i thought having a higher attack number, which moves up if u add str, meant a better chance of hitting the mob. I just always assumed that.
For instance two lvl 40's with one having attack of say 900 and the other 850, one having 50 more str than the other, woul |

As your attack rating which is linked to your offense/weaponskill/strength increases, your average hit increases (sometimes called "the magic number"), along with your maximum hit.
However ATK is not linked to how often you successfully hit. |

Please, after level 20, DON'T use Snare. Use Ensnare. It costs 35 mana, lasts 11+ minutes, resisted less, and casts faster. MUCH better than Snare. |

Brewing is an easy skill to raise with all ingredients being available from vendors up to a skill of 135. If you can't afford to sink 30 or 40 pp into the skill, then you're better off waiting or raising it slowly as your wallet allows. Personally though, I like to increase skills fast rather than |

Some of us actually don't group that much on EQ do to our schedule constraints. If you've picked a shaman as your character, then you've picked a good class to solo for a while. The only other class that I know make good soloers are Necromancers. A couple of notes if you choose to solo your shammy: |

Ok, this is basically all a warrior is: a person who takes damage. You are not made to DO the MOST damage, leave that to monks, nukers, rogues, etc... you are made to TAKE the MOST dmg! The only reason that a warrior needs STR is so that they dont get encumbered. put your points into agi, and sta! s |

Don't use 2H weapons to taunt.
I use the fastest 1H weapons I can get my grubby hands on. The key is to have more attacks on the hate list to move you up it. Also, when you hit taunt, you ALWAYS become the target on a successful taunt. If your using a slow 2H weapon, the first person who hits it |

Using CH means they won't get aggro'd either. If your doing your warriorly du |

This is correct.
Damage dealt out is nice, but not your primary concern. Your job is to piss off a mob and keep it pissed off at you no matter what. As the mob is busy being mad at you and you do 80 dmg a round, the ranger and monk can whack away for 120 and the rogue can backstab for 400.

The role of a warrior is not neccesaraly to take the most damage. You're going to piss your cleric off if you constantly charge into the fray and get down a bubble of health in two seconds. There are other tank classes, monks for instance, who have high enough AC and dodging skills that they rarel |
