Ok, so there can only be 8000 people on Legends. Each paying $40.00 a month. That's 4 times what us regular people are paying a month. That being said, They could lose 24,000 people on regular servers and still break even in the profit margin.
It's definately a win-win situation for them. |

Can't you use both items? |

Such crap. All these benefits are things that should be added to the regular servers and should not be provided to only the few who can pay more. Verant has forgotten that it's the p |

They could only "break even on the profit margin" if the profit margin of a Legends account is four times that of a regular account. Since neither you nor I knows what the profit margin is, however, there's no reason to suspect that it is "four times normal". It could just as eas |

I agree with the above statements that if Verant wants to charge a hundred dollars an hour to play on the new server FINE! They are a business and can do what they want!
However, I will not agree that the pimply faced little teenagers will not be there. They will FLOCK to the server. They d |

I can afford $40 for DSL and $40 a month for music CDs or whatever and I can certainly shell out $40 for EQ if I wish to. The situation is that I don't want to move from my server, I don't want to make another character, and I don't really see the value in what they are offering. It's about value, |

By the time a monk is able to collect the items to make one of these, and gets a high enough tailoring skill to succeed, he/she should have already done the quests for the Robe of the Lost Circle. I agree, even for a mid 20s char I would not recommend a run through FV to Swamp of No Hope if at all possible to avoid. I must say that I have done the run from LOIO to the city of FV countless times and have NEVER been seen by mobs while invis. That being said, it may be that the more dangerous |

How is it a "slap in the face" for Verant to offer an optional service you have no interest in taking advantage of? Was it a "slap in the face" when the race-war servers were released? The roleplaying server? How about Sullon Zek?

I totally understand your point. But what I meant was regular accounts are $10.00 a month. The Legends account would be $40.00 a month.
$40.00 a month X 8000 players = $320,000.00 a month
$10.00 a month X 32000 players = $320,000.00 a month
4 times the $$$ for them with 4 times less players. |

What kind of half-assed parenting leads to the children having a computer and oodles of disposable income, while the parents can't manage to free up an extra $30 a month?

I guess you never knew that plenty of teens have jobs that pay very well considering they live at home and their parents pay for their insurance. All their money is spent on food, fun and maybe gas. |

No, what I think he's saying is that...
There will be a lot of rich/poor people on Legends standing around doing the same stuff they always did on the old servers. They'll just be paying $40 a month for it.
Not only is it a slap in the face, it's a load of Doodoo. |

You can't do a couple of simple arithmatic proofs and hold it out as hard evidence on the relative value-profit of the Legends server to the standard servers for one simple and obvious reason: the cost to run Legends is all but certain to be wildly different from that of running a standard server.
