They aren't newly discovered, this site just never had them submitted I guess. EQmaps has had them under FM equipment for quite a while... which is odd because usually Allakhazam's and EQmaps are updated with the exact same items at the same time. |

Two of these dropped off a named dragon in north TOV named jorleag I think it was called or something real close, as it was the first time this dragon had been killed by my guild Wraith on the server me and a shaman recieved those. It does rock, I don't have my epic yet but this is much better IMO. |

30+ is plenty for a druid or ranger to fight here...stay by the bridge and fear kite Kodiacs...the experience is great and they hardly resist...fear kiting makes this area easy for the tree hugging classes. |

Recently went in with about 70 peeps - 30 lev 60's and still couldn't kill him. First off pulling him is a little tricky because he'll just summon the puller and kill them in about 2 seconds. He has a knockback that will send you to the other side of the zone, an AE snare and fear spell and quads |

I was helping some strangers camp it when befallen had been taken over by Lanys T`Vyl and it drops off of a second floor mob. If the zone changed back then i don't think it will drop anymore. |

You're right, in AD&D rangers could wear plate-type armors, but they were losing their dual-weilding and all their roguish ability if they did so. |

If you're just going for looks, you could go for the Froglok Crown. I'm not sure what good it will do your body in melee.
If you do the research, the best and lightest head item to wear until you can get the planes stuff is an Executioner's Hood. Look up the stats and weight. |
