I saw this and since it was no drop I almost logged on one of my twinks to get it - boy that would have been a mistake.
For the heck of it, I started using it a bit and found it really really seemed to stick the mobs too me so I experimented and it seems to wrok for taunt better than a 10/18, 11 |

I am kinda new to the game. When using this sword on my lvl 17 ranger it says "you do not have the will to command this weapon" What does that mean.

The claw beast spawns in two places. First is the Loda Kai camp around neg 700, neg 700. Second is the lesser shade and skeletal hunter hangout, near the tunnel entrance at the end of the road north from Shar Vahl.

Well, to not be killed outright, I would guess you need to be around level 35. Things in here have a tendancy to aggro and hit hard.
Drolvarg Guards most places too, and undeads alot of places as well. So casting invis/invis to undead would only protect you against one of em...

Reported trivial level around 240 or higher (yikes). Does explain what all the swirling shadows drops are for. Looks like it would be best suited for a rogue, with all the str/agi/dex that the full set offers. |

Yeah, and even if it was, this would obviously be a warrior weapon. hybrids either need a good 2h, or a high damage (possible slow) 1h weap with a shield. |

On eqtraders.com, you could also find informations on how to get humming luclinite mallet and vah shir anvil, as well as other components needed.
I think I need to work a little more on smithing for this armor, only 171 at the moment. |

I believe every AC on an item gives in reality 1.5 ac. So 2ac = 3ac etc...
I dunno, but I had the impression this is more on high ac items.
Also, your Defense skill adds ac, regardless of what armor you are wearing. |

THis item is a rip off! I paid 100pp for 3 of these. the dem thing doesn't even say its Secondary/Range Slot ONLY! Now I am stuck with it and I cannot use!
I repeat gain - the item discription doesn't say that it cannot be used in PRIMARY hand!

Many of the Goblins in Permafrost also drop Fine Steel. My last trip through I can out with staffs, a scimitar and a shortsword in less than one hour. Next time, gotta visit a shammie for some spirit bags to get rid of the weight |

I think the monk epic haste is considered item haste, like the rogue and ranger epics. If it is, then the CoF haste would be overwritten by CF haste. |

The quest armor pieces were changed so that these races may now wear:
Ogres, Trolls, Barbarians, Iksar and Vah Shir
This makes the zone an excellent spot for any new Beastlord, regardless of race.
