PlayOnline Viewer Update (Feb. 23)

At the following time, we will be performing a version update of the PlayOnline Viewer (Windows version only). *The client software will also be updated at this time. The version update process will automatically begin upon login after the time stated below. Please follow the instructions that appear on your screen. [Affected Period] Feb. 23, 2006 6:00 (PST) [Affected Services] PlayOnline services [Important Update Details] - A preventive measure has been implemented to resolve the problem that was caused by closing the PlayOnline Viewer during the FINAL FANTASY XI version update process.

just in case anyone wondered, the .dll file i was missing 2 days ago is now back...kind of weird...
What they did...

They fixed the problem where if you exit out of POL viewer during updates you won't have problems. You are still able to ctrl + alt + del (just did it today.) The X button in the upper right corner still works too, (did that today as well.)

something got screwed up, and it didnt replace my polmvf.dll file, which means i cant get on to POL...anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah, but they mentioned nothing about server maintenence in the post... Grr to more maintenence.

Who wants to bet they disable the X in the upper right corner of the window and won't allow you to CTRL-ALT-DEL >.>

Really hope they fix the problem and not the symptoms this time.

Still no word on fixing the uninstaller either >.>
