Today ArenaNet has announced the official launch date for Guild Wars 2: Tuesday, August 28, 2012. There will also be a final beta weekend on July 20!

Apparently the recent stress tests were enough to give ArenaNet some confidence, as they have announced on their official blog that Guild Wars 2 will be launching on Tuesday, August 28, 2012.

Hot on the heels of this launch announcement also comes a final Beta Weekend Event, slated to take place on July 20 - 22, 2012. No word has been given yet as to how access to that final beta weekend will take place. Only two more months to go, folks!
