Awsome game. Like said before the game only has 1 resource plat. " This is warcraft taken to the next level." my bro. said when we got it on christmas. The prime thing it focuses on is not resources but ifact leveling up your units. BTW the campaign is awsome. One question thoe. Does it have a map editor????

I was in the last phase of the LOE beta and I enjoyed it. It was a fairly stable game at that point, and I didn't find any bugs beyond the obvious ones that were found immediately. The game takes the "Hero" aspect of Warcraft III and improves it by allowing your units to grow along with your character. In addition, by making platinum the only resource you really need, it focuses more on leveling and character development and less on resource micromanagement, which I like as well. I think this game will find a following, although there are probably too many RTS games on the market now. It's too bad the EQII Beta Invitation promotion has so many hoops to jump through, though. Having to buy LOE AND keep an ongoing EQ account just to participate is really asking too much. I guess it is one way of ensuring that you are getting only the most motivated people involved...

I'm in LOE beta ..and although I can't talk about game content right now, I can say that I hated it at first but it grows on you. I think it's worth the money to buy it even if its just to beta EQ2...on top of that it is a good enough game to have installed in case EQ goes down for patching during your active playtime. (and we all know THAT doesn't happen...*sense sarcasm*)

These days Beta Testing is no longer about Testing, it's about "omg d00d I'm in teh beta w00tz0rz!"

Then the person plays the game for a week, never submits a single bug report, and the game gets launched as a pile of crap.

Then the players blame the company.

Beta Testing is supposed to be about beta testing. Not some bonus you get for buying a completely unrelated game.

OMG, isn't that the truth!!! I can't believe they released it in the state it was in. I couldn't play it for more than a couple months.

It had nowhere near the content it should have had given the rich story they had to work with.

An utterly disappointing game.

I wish I could have gotten into beta for that game. I might not have made any difference, but at least I could say I tried. Evidently unlike the ones who did get in...

Unfair! By all accounts the beta testers were extremely active in reporting issues, and huge amounts of progress were made prior to release. It was just so far from finished though. That wasn't the fault of the beta testers, nor the developers. It was released a good 4-6 months earlier than the beta testers expected or advised. They said as much.

Blame the decision-makers who evidently decided they needed to release the game half-done, maybe because AC2 went out the door half-done and they wanted to keep up with them, or something. Ha!

All these companies could learn something from Blizzard, and wait till their game is finished before putting it out.

I've read several sites to the affect that SOE offering special incentives for buying Lords of Everquest and getting access to EQ II was cancelled. Any truth to this?

It sure as hell better not have been! That's the entire reason I pre-orderd the damn thing after the pop-up when I last logged onto EQ. If the F**K us on this, that mug is getting returned to sender!
