Global SOE Downtime Weds. February 24, 2010Feb 23rd, 2010 at 4:11 PM by Calthine

There will be planned maintence at SOE Wednesday, February 24, 2010 that will affect all game servers for all SOE games.  Maintenance will begin at 3:00 AM PST and is estimated to last until 12:00 PM PST.  All game worlds will be unavailable for at least the first several hours of the estimated 9-hour maintenance. The Station Store and all commerce avenues will be unavailable for the entire duration of maintenance.  This may also affect the performance of the forums and any or all accounts’ abilities to log in.

We had a long down time yesterday for EQ2 (AB was down nearly five hours), and now we potentially have a 9-hour down time for all SOE games today. This is an asinine decision, for the day after the official launch of Sentinel's Fate. Several EQ2 servers are going to have another long downtime tomorrow. These are the kinds of down times that should have been taken care of before the expansion's launch. There's no excuse for this kind of blundering performance.

You may want to add what they said about being in game. Says on logon screen that if you are already logged in you should not be affected by this maintenance as long as you don't log out.
