WoW Patch 3.3.2 to Drop This Upcoming Tuesday?

In a recent post at the official forums, Blizzard poster Enthati announced a somewhat-extended downtime for the upcoming week's scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m., PST. The upcoming server maintenance is scheduled to last a few hours longer than the usual downtime, which might imply that the eagerly-anticipated patch 3.3.2 could be dropping this week, as suggested by other sites (such as WoW.com).

Patch 3.3.2 is expected to launch WoW's Arena Season 8 and unlock the final wing of the Icecrown Citadel raid encounter. While it's true that extended downtimes like this Tuesday's are sometimes indicative of minor content patches and other new material set to deploy to live servers, it's important to remember that we haven't received any official confirmation one way or the other, so far. What do you think? Are all of you PvP fans ready for Season 8? Is the ICC raid content moving forward at a greater pace than the community originally anticipated? Does this mean we might be seeing Cataclysm sooner than we imagined?

The speed at which they are releasing ICC content comes at no surprise. When people speculated summer release of the Lich king I chortled. Blizzard is a money machine, and money machines are all about strategy. There is going to be a dead zone with minor updates and possibly some minor content between now and the holiday season. Come late summer rumors about Cata being released before the year is over will start brewing. 3rd week of November give or take a couple of weeks, Cata will drop just in time for the Thanksgiving/Christmas shopping season and good times will be had by Blizzard checkbooks and millions of employees and students will come down with a mysterious illness doctors will come to know as "Gottogettoeightyfivebeforeeveryoneelseitis".

Woops, you're correct.... 3.3.2, as suggested in the blurb.

Thanks!
