Blizzard Previews New User Interface Updates

UPDATE: In case you haven't seen them yet, cafeen has posted links to some of our information pages for these user interface updates. You can find his post here.

In anticipation of patch 3.1, the Blizzard team has put together a preview of the new user interface features that will be debuting with the update. The page contains all sorts of information, including all of the recent changes to the dual spec feature. While the minimum level to use this ability was originally 80, it's been lowered to 40 after testing and feedback. Also, you no longer have to use a Lexicon of Power to make the switch.

In addition, the preview discusses the new equipment manager, which will allow you to save gear sets and switch between them; an objectives tracker to keep track of multiple quests and achievements at once; the ability to choose your role in the looking for group tool; and the ability to queue for Battlegrounds from anywhere in the world.

So whether you're on the PTR or not, what do you think of these changes? Will you be more likely to use the LFG tool once the patch goes live? Do you plan to take part in more BGs? Are you pleased with the direction the dual spec feature has taken during testing?

I Like the Idea of the Dual Spec being Dropped to lvl 40 Min. If your 80 and Then Trying to Learn a whole new Class aspect, your gonna have a bit of a handicap, Where if your only 40 and you have time to Try and test all your new abilities as they become available, It allows you be a better rounded Player. I know I'm gonna have a hell of a time relearning my 80 DK with a new class set.... hopefully I'll just take my 42 pally and start her off on the right foot. 1000G to dual spec though.... that really restricts the players using it that early on.

.....It's just like the Flying Mount cap still being 70, but not having it to fly with in Northrend till 77. Pointless for Anyone trying to get to endgame content quickly until At least 77 when you get the cold weather flying....

The Wardrobe Is an awesome Idea, I know I always wear my armour everywhere, which is really Faux Pas on RP servers like moonguard and Blackwater raiders..... But who wants to waste the time over individually removing armour, putting it into your bank or your bags and changing into something more comfortable? I Mean, My armour could definately use a few days to air out.....

Now if only they'd get to the Dance instructers...... then the RP servers would Quit with the angst.... and I could have my Human fem dancing a bit less embarassingly...... O.o
Hmm..

So we can change specs with one button press, and change gear with one more? It's going to be a good day to be a Druid!

I think the lvl 40 is a good idea in general, as people who only learn one side of their class from lvl 80 onwards are generally going to suck.
swap spec anywhere !!!
