Celebrate the Season with Frostfell Events

The Season of Frostfell is upon us! The holiday event was implemented in yesterday's patch, which also added some new hot zones filled with additional experience and item rewards. You can read all about the patch in our previous post.

As for Frostfell, the event runs through Jan. 8, 2009 and is comprised of a wealth of activities. Here's some information on just one of the quests:

Good parents save up their money all year long in order to get gifts for their children on Frostfell. But for the several families in the Plane of Knowledge there will be no gifts. Someone has stolen them! Kind hearted adventurers of level 55 to 64, 65 to 74, and 75 and over who want to help these families as a solo adventurer or with a group should speak to Elba Straw or one of the other distraught parents in the Plane of Knowledge.

Keep reading after the jump or here to find out how you can help save Santug Claugg, ring in the New Year with M.C. Tinkerton and more.

As the air starts to chill and the frost begins to cover the ground, the season of Frostfell begins. No holiday season is perfect though and a couple of your fellow Norrathians need your help to make Frostfell a merry holiday for all! Visit your favorite major city and the Plane of Knowledge to find out how you can help.

The season of Frostfell will embrace Norrath from December 9th through January 8th. Various events new and old will be available at different intervals throughout the season. So make sure you join in the fun before Frostfell is over for another year.

A Freezing New Adventure

Good parents save up their money all year long in order to get gifts for their children on Frostfell. But for the several families in the Plane of Knowledge there will be no gifts. Someone has stolen them! Kind hearted adventurers of level 55 to 64, 65 to 74, and 75 and over who want to help these families as a solo adventurer or with a group should speak to Elba Straw or one of the other distraught parents in the Plane of Knowledge. This frosty adventure will lead brave adventures into Freezkorr's Lair where Santug Claugg and some of his Gigglegibber goblins have been captured by Freezkorr, the leader of the Frostclaw goblin clan.

Frostfell's Past Adventures Return

It wouldn't be Frostfell without a cheerful visit from good old Santug Claugg, the kind hearted ogre. Alas it seems that there is some Santug trouble and his goblins have gone to each city in Norrath looking for those who will help save their boss from the evil clutches of the Grinnuuch. Talk to one of Santug's Frostfell Goblins and help save Frostfell!

Fabdabus is in charge of the fireworks show for Frostfell; however his shipment of fireworks was stolen. He suspects that the grimps are responsible for stealing the fireworks and hiding them in dungeons so that Fabdabus would have a difficult time getting them back. Help Fabdabus reclaim his firework shipment in time for Frostfell.

Harger is preparing a feast for Frostfell. Even the best chefs find they need a little assistance from time to time in order to have a perfectly timed feast. Harger asks for help gathering special rare fish and making various baked goods for the Frostfell feast.

Someone has been kidnapping the toy-making snow dwarves working for Santug, the happy ogre who delivers toys to good Norrathian girls and boys. The dwarves have been taken to various places throughout Norrath to stop Frostfell from happening. Without enough toys, Santug cannot bring Frostfell cheer to Norrath.

Later in the season, Santug Claugg will need further assistance from helpful adventurers. A mean old scrooge gnome, Ebenizer, holds the key to making a sick child's Frostfell special. Help Santug get a one of a kind "Clockwork Dolly" from Ebenizer and make this little one's Frostfell bright. He will also need someone to help him track down his naughty and nice list.

If Frostfell is saved, Santug will finally be able to give out his gifts to all of Norrath.

M.C. Tinkerton and his Clockwork Party Machine

To ring in the New Year, M.C. Tinkerton and his Clockwork Party Machine are back. The party machine's dance gyroscopes, firework cannons and party favor dispensers are fully functional, but the most important piece, the machine's primary party motivator, was stolen again! M.C. Tinkerton seeks adventurers to steal back the primary party motivator from the Dark Mistletoe giants, a grouchy clan of frost giant nomads in the Great Divide. Seek out M.C. Tinkerton in the Plane of Knowledge for further details.

Ok so I went back to Thundercrest and I would suggest you use invise. I tapped a Dirtdigger bonecracker on the noggin, and the fight was on. He conned Lt. Blue to me, and I was doing okm with a little help from my pet. Then a Clay Sentinel came strolling along, and I was a little over my head. Short story, got our with the bracelet, but it was not a pretty sight. Swirling Dirvish almost had me a Rez hunting, while I was looting me kills. Will be going back a third time, to see if I can find the Tiny Golem made of coal. Did not see a Golem of any kind on my first two trips. Hope to update soon.

The coal golem is in the southeast section of the zone, in the maze. Take the bridge to the east from the main building and follow it until it dead ends. Then take a right and follow that corridor until it dead ends. Then take a left, then another left down a steep ramp. The coal golem will be at the bottom to the left. Be forewarned that some of the mobs in this section of the zone will see invis.

Found the Bundle of Gifts in Thundercrest Isle. I was invise and good thing. I am a lvl 67 Shamie and would have been toast if I hadn't been. This is deffinately too hard of a quest. I went in first building, invise wore off, and was dropped down to 27 health within a few hits, oh and Gate, Gate, Gate.

A Freezing New Adventure...

Part of the quest says you need to find and return gifts found in PoK, anyone found these gifts? Are they on merchants? On the ground (and /loc plz), or do you have to make 'em? Any help would be appreciated.

The gifts arent in pok , at least for the quest from the drakkin parent.
(Have not seen the other quests working).

The toy is a ground spawn in Fort Mech, looks like a box on the ground, from posts at the official forums it can be just about anywhere.

The bracelet however is a drop, apparently random, also in Fort mech. Some had more luck off names, according to the posts.
I have yet to see it drop, been camping trash near the rusty gnomework at various times.

This quest is ENTIRELY too hard for a cute holiday diversion quest.

The quest automatically comes up in shared tasks, even if requested singly. You can add someone to the task, but apparently it has a timer, because the task I was unable to get the bracelet to drop for disappeared from my quests today.

Oh yay, have to kill the rusty gnomework again, and his EIGHT spawned adds. =/

It looks like the reward is the same reguardless of what family member you get it from (needs verification) but I shrouded down to 55 (Lowest you can go from the post message) and got it from one of the "other" family members, not the Father. Different zone but the "view reward" was the same. Not sure what the end reward is yet though if this just the beginning of a bigger reward. Just finding the "presents" seems to be my problem. Has PoK listed as "zone" the task is supposed to be done in so thats why I was asking. Will goto Hates Fury and see what I get there and update if I remember.

Update....
Indeed the other Items you need where in the in the zone you have to kill the mob in. I did the lvl 55 version so I posted what I found under "New Mob" for Hate's Fury (Think that was the zone name, off of Crypt of Nardox).
