How to Win
We have a thread in the General WoW forums for the contest entries. All you have to do is post a response in the thread that states what you’re the most excited about in the new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion. For example:

  • Playing as a Worgen.
  • All the new changes to old Azeroth. I can’t wait to see what it looks like!
  • The new talent changes. My class is going to be OP. QQ moar newbs.

We’ll be collecting entries for the next seven days, and on Monday August 2nd, 2010, we’ll be announcing all fifty winners of the giveaway and we’ll then send you your beta key for Cataclysm! It really is that simple. Just submit the part of Cataclysm you’re most excited about, and you're golden!

 

Please Note: You must enter your contest submission at the designated forum thread. Any comments on this article will not be counted as submissions.

 

Additional Note: Both Tankspot and Wowhead will be having their own beta key giveaways in the next few weeks, so make sure you check out our entire network family for all of your chances to win!

++ If you're an AddOn author WoWInterface has almost an unlimited number of keys to give away.

Rules and Qualifications

  • In order to use the beta key, you must have a WoW account in good standing.
  • Posts in the contest thread that are not contest submissions will be deleted.
  • Users may enter more than one Cataclysm item that they’re excited about, but only one entry will be counted per user.
  • We reserve the right to remove entries if we feel like you're not properly participating in the contest.
  • The contest begins on July 26th, and all winners will be announced on August 2nd, 2010.
  • The fifty (50) key winners will be drawn from the pool of eligible posters at the end of the entry period.

I have been playing this game since the first beta of vanilla and i have loved all of the aspects of the game, both pve and pvp.
The most things i see foward to in the Cataclysm is the new races and the zones that have been closed for like 5 years and ofc that we can fly around in Azeroth.
There is so many things that i wanna see and try out before the release of the retail version of cataclysm.
Think this expansion will be great beacuse blizzard have fixed so many stuffs with classes and professions

-I'm looking forward to the "new" azeroth", new places to explore for me.

-Those new dungeons looks so great and challening

-The level cap being raised to 85 so i can level my main and other char again :p

-The epic feeling of competing for realm( maybe world) first 85

-New quests

-The new races worgen and goblin, worgen starting world looks sooooo epic, goblin starting world looks epic to tough not as epic as worgen one :D

-Love the new water =), guess i'm gonna swim a lot :D

- and finally, waited sooooo long for this, Being able to fly in azeroth pewpewpew! =)

I'm looking forward to seeing the redesigned zones. I loved the old Azeroth zones, so the prospect of exploring them post-Cataclysm and seeing the destruction wrought, that's what I'm looking forward to!

I really love the preview i read on different websites, new spells, new warlock soulshard system, worgens and goblins, but what really interested me was the underwater zones and underwater mounts

I really hope I can get a key, to have a closer look :)

Really just everthing.. I mean lets see..
1. Im a hunter and pretty much a brand new class.
2. Worgens
3. Goblins
4. All new dungeons and raids
5. All new changes to classes
6. Changes to game mechanics
7. Changes to game graphics
8. all new leveling experience
9. all new/redone zones
10. all new mobs, creatures etc to see
11. all new areas to explore and glitch out haha
12. Amazing new lore
13. all new quests
15. all new abilities
16. changes to professions and new ones.
17. All new guild changes
...wow im gonna just go with my number .1 choice..EVERYTHING! :)

i started playing World of Warcraft since it came out and i always clear every instance in all the expansions and the most exciting expansion is about to come out and i am looking forward to play the beta but the most thing that i like about it Is the changes in the continents and how exciting to lvl up and trying the new goblin and worgen class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i wish to play the beta!!!!!!!!!!! and explore everything that blizzard has setup for us to explore!!!

I would like the new beta key, because i wanna experience the new raiding system. It is intresting how 25 mans and 10 mans are almost indentical. This will help me and the guild im in, because ill be able to report back to them with helpful info, or join them in the Beta.

I personally am lo9oking forward to the talent changes and the glyph changes. i really want to see how the classes really pan out in this expansion. i have 80's of every class except rogues. i know i got alot of lockboxes sitting around. i am also stoked about the changes to the old zones. i give blizz props for just not abandoning them.

First when Cataclysm was announced, I wasn't too excited about it. But when I further investigated it, I realised how epic it would be. There is two things above all others.

- Extremely interesting lore (Neltharion, worgens...)
- New, improved graphics.

There are many reasons why I should be exited for Cataclysm. However there are main ones that I will discuss here.

1) I am really looking forward to experiencing the new starting zones for the worgens and goblins. I am really pleased that their are seige weapons in the starting zones along with the quest lines.

2) I am really pleased with the fact that we will be able to use our flying mounts in Azeroth. I have been waiting for something to happen like this for a long time. Imagine hopping on your mount and just jumping from it onto your opposing factions' capital city/cities.

3) I am really exited about the new quests and the new dungeons. I am very eager to complete the new quests and experience the new dungeons along with it's bosses.

4) I am really happy with the new Class/Race combinations such as a Blood Elf Warrior for instance. Aswell as a Dwarf Shaman.

5) Last but not least, I am very exited to try out the new PvP areas. A world PvP area ( Tol Barad ) could not sound any cooler. We actually have a place now in Azeroth dedicated for only world PvP.

im looking forward to the trimmed talent trees and new skills and the removal of the "junk" talents. while the current trees weren't too hard to master, the new ones look a lot funner.

revisiting the old world and seeing the new raid content is also definately something i am looking forward to.

I'm really excited about Worgens , about goblins , Deathwing ,leveling in Azeroth , fly in Azeroth. Well I'm really excited about Cataclysm in general :) ,and in particular in my server will be equal ,because there is 80% horde and 20% Alliance , well I hope so .Oh I almost forgot ,new skills .

Although all of the additions made in Cataclysm look fantastic, the changes to the talent trees and my favorite class, the paladin, are definitely my favorites. The redone talents look great, with Blizzard "trimming" the boring talents to make way for the new and interesting talents. In addition, the Cataclysm paladin class seems extremely interesting, mostly because of the new "Holy Power." I have played only one character since the first days of World of Warcraft, and that is my extremely beloved paladin. All of that time, I have never felt fully challenged, even though I am deeply in love with my paladin. This new "Holy Power" brings some interesting new abilities to the table, along with making the class more challenging. In general, the new talents and redesigned paladin class make me the most excited, because it seems to me like I will be having a load of fun with it.

I'm so excited about so many things but the biggest thing that points out on me is Warlocks Ive been playing a Warlock as my main for a long time now very interested to give good feedback first.

I'm a very hardcore gamer who enjoys all aspects of wow here is a link to my beloved main.

I'm just so excited about everything the beautiful new landscapes, Goblins blowing up several islands (Now THAT WILL BE FUN!) and all the new phasing thats happening in the worgen and goblin starting zones, and most importantly of all, HUMAN DRUIDS yes i know technically there worgen ones, but in human form... Now that is sweet!

First thing im very intrested in is the worgen lore since the day of announcment.

Second, I normally play a shaman I woud really like to see were my main class is heading tword in Cataclysm.

I also enjoy PvP very much it would be really intresting to do a new BattleGround.

I would like to see the new guild UI as I help run many guilda to see the changes and how things work such as guild talents.

I have worked with almost all the proffesions and I would really like to see Archaeology.

I think of it as a great opprotunity to see much changes of were the game is going.

to be honest blizzard put some bad class race combo's to cataclysm but a tauren paladin is what i would like to level and enjoy the holycow's judgements :) i think the best tank is on the way with cata some people doesnt like the idea of holycow but the priorty of guilds and pugs are well geared and high HP'ed tanks so TAUREN PALADIN is why i am expecting the cataclysm

I really really want to try everything in the Cataclysm include the new healing and tank talent's and Worgen and a lot of different things..... I'm really excited to play the Cataclysm beta before Nov or before it come up on live...........
