ZAM Readers' Choice 2013 Award Voting

What was your favorite game for 2013? Let us know!

UPDATE: The winner has been revealed!

To celebrate the games we all love, ZAM is holding its annual gaming awards! One of the categories will be entirely decided by our fantastic readership.

For the Readers' Choice Award, we want you to nominate the game that has kept you coming back for more in 2013. Did the re-launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn rock your world? Was Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag the game that you couldn't live without? Has Hearthstone blown you away?

Whichever game it was, as long as it was either released, had an expansion released for it, or was in a well-polished beta state (and not under NDA) during 2013, write your nomination in the comments below and add a line about why it is, in your opinion, the best game of the year. You can also vote by tweeting @ZAMOfficial (don't forget #ZAMGotY) or by commenting on our official Facebook page!

One person, one vote -- multiple entries will be null and void. Voting ends at 11:59pm Pacific on Sunday, December 15, and the finalists will be announced later that week along with all the other winners for this year's awards, decided by the staff of ZAM, including Wowhead, LolKing and all our sister sites.

Hmmm... Pokemon XY or The Last of Us? Pokemon felt really fresh for the first time in a long time, and has such an amazing soundtrack. But the Last of Us made me sob in the prologue alone...

I'm going with...

Pokemon XY

Going with XIV as well

XIV wins the year. At least in the MMO category. (I was worried about TESO and Wildstar knocking it out at its kneese next year but that was before their betas started. Not worried any more.)

For single player, GTA V was the most fun, but The Last of Us was the best script and game combo.

Totally agree here. I loved GTA V, but The Last Of Us held my attention like no other game has for a long time. The last time I cared about what was happening with the characters in a game as much as this was back when I played FF7. Nice work Naughy Dog!

Edit: And please, no sequels! Another story perhaps, but this story should be left alone.

FFXIV gets my vote

Before A Realm Reborn's release, it was extremely hard to find a decent MMO on a console. There was FFXI, DCUO, Defiance, and...that's it. None of those gave the "feel" I was used to from the PC. FFXIV:ARR blew all of those games - combined! - out of the water. Finally I had a console MMO that felt like what I was used to!

For excellent controls, FFXIV gets my vote.
