Tenacious D Set to Rock BlizzCon

Blizzard just announced that the band Tenacious D will be headlining this year's closing concert at BlizzCon. Comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, Tenacious D is known for its rock riffs and comedic lyrics, which should be a perfect finale for BlizzCon goers. Last year's attendees were treated to a performance by Ozzy Osbourne and this year's choice promises to be no less epic.

Do you think Tenacious D can follow Ozzy and rock BlizzCon just as hard?

Blizzard Increases Guild Cap to 1,000 Members

A few days ago, Blizzard announced that a single guild will only be able to have a maximum of 600 members in Cataclysm. Well, the team reevaluated that number and just announced that the hard cap will be 1,000 members with patch 4.0.1. The cap is necessary due to the new guild system that's coming in the expansion.

Guilds with more than 1,000 members will be able to proceed at that level for as long as they want, but they'll have to drop below the 1,000 mark to add new members to the guild. So what do you think about the new cap?

A little later in the thread, Bashiok confirms that Blizzard would like to add features like a guild alliance chat channel in the future.

Changes to Blizzard's Battle.net Authenticators

In an effort to step up security of Battle.net accounts around the world, Blizzard is implementing a new change to how their Battle.net authenticators work -- most notaby being the fact that Battle.net authenticators can now only be associated with one Battle.net account at a time.

Luckily, for those of you who have one authenticator bound to a multiple Battle.net accounts, you will not be affected, but should you detach this authenticator from any of your Battle.net accounts, Blizzard warns you that you will be unable to re-attach it if it is already bound to a different account.

All in all, this just means that from now on, one authenticator to one Battle.net account.

The company attributes this milestone to the recent launch of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion in mainland China and the excitement surrounding the release of Cataclysm on December 7.
