The first game of the summer promotion/relegation tournament on Friday saw Quantic running an engage composition with Kennen, Zac, and Sona, while Team Astral Poke opted for a disengage composition with Janna and Gragas.  Lane swaps of the ADC/support duos to mid went heavily in favor of Quantic, and it was able to secure a decent gold lead before the first kill or objective of the game was secured.

Winter has come, the fabled official ARAM (All Random All Mid) map for League of Legends has finally arrived in a massive patch. The first set of day 2 of the LCS Spring Playoffs was between Vulcun and TSM after Vulcun had upset CLG the day before.  The theme of the day would be dominance by whichever team was able to first-pick Sona.

Kicking off the first day of the NA Spring Playoffs was an exciting series between Dignitas and GGU. 

Riot Games recently announced that its free-2-play MOBA behemoth League of Legends has hit a major milestone of 5 million peak global concurrent players.

To put that into perspective, that would be like the entire population of a busy urban center such as Singapore logging in to play League of Legends. Closer to home, it would be equal to both Los Angeles and San Diego combined. It's astounding to think that a single video game could completely shut down two large American cities.

Clearly the Santa Monica, Calif. developer must be doing something right to boast such impressive numbers. Now all that waits is the updated 'Teemo deaths per minute' stat.
