Yesterday, legendary heroes clashed on the fields of the Nexus as Blizzard's upcoming MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, began its Tech Alpha testing phase. In order to help players who are just getting into Heroes get accustomed to the early stages of the game, the team released a "Tech Alpha Walkthrough" video that shows off the tutorial, quests and other important key features that will help you become a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

Tychus Findlay, a Terran Marine from StarCraft II, is the latest Hero revealed for Blizzard's upcoming MOBA, Heroes of the Storm. Equipped with an arsenal of guns and grenades he's sure to be a deadly foe to anyone facing this fighter.

The time is finally approaching! Today Blizzard Entertainment announced that the Technical Alpha for its upcoming MOBA, Heroes Of The Storm, would soon be on its way and a select number of players would be invited to partake in the testing. Get ready to enter the Nexus!

If there is one developer that has defined my gaming experience best over the last 20 years it's Blizzard Entertainment. Not only have I been a  fan of the Warcraft franchise since the original RTS title was released in 1994, but they have also delivered two additional franchises that have captivated my attention on and off again across multiple titles, expansions, genres and platforms.

In fact the only game or game-world that has even come close to holding my interest to the same extend is League of Legends, if not in sheer number of years than at least in time spent in game. Unlike the unbridled affection I have for the immense depth of character of the three expertly crafted Blizzard franchises, League of Legends holds my attention primarily because of the engrossing MOBA game-play it offers.

So at the very first mention of Blizzard developing its own MOBA (or online team brawler as they prefer to call it), as well as the rebranding and continued development of the project, I am not ashamed to admit that I am more than a little excited.

BlizzCon 2013 is over and this year’s event will be remembered for many reasons. Not only did Blizzard announce details of the next World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor, but information was also released on future plans for the immensely popular Hearthstone, due to go into open beta next month.

This year's BlizzCon, like any other, was a tidal wave of information from Blizzard on their latest projects. One of this year's biggest blowouts was Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard's new brawler with franchise-favorite characters from World of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo.

With Blizzard's showing of Heroes of the Storm at BlizzCon also comes a developer interview video released by the creators of the game. Only one place can hold heroes and villains of this caliber. Enter the Nexus!

This week Blizzard finally released the event schedule for this year's BlizzCon in Anaheim, CA. From opening ceremony at 10AM on Friday, November 8th to the closing concert on at 6:30PM on November 9th, every panel, tournament and contest is outlined for in-person and Virtual Ticket attendees to plan out their two days. A floor map was also included with the new schedules, so those going to the show can figure out which panels they'll have to run across the convention center to catch and where they can play Heroes of the Storm while waiting for the next one.

Blizzard has released a teaser trailer for their re-named multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game, Heroes of the Storm. Formerly known as Blizzard All-Stars, the game has been undergoing internal testing since August 2013. HotS is expected to be a Free-to-Play "action real-time strategy" game supported by micro-transactions.
