Issue 19: Alpha Strike is now live in City of Heroes! The latest free update for the Going Rogue expansion adds features such as the Alpha Slot (the first part of the new Incarnate System), alternate power animations, new zone events, two new Task Forces and more. Also, Issue 19 grants you one free Respec Token for all your characters! You'll also get another free Respec Token in eight days, but they don't stack. Remember to use your first token so you can take advantage of both of them.

City of Heroes is running a contest from now until until 11:59pm CT on Monday, January 24, 2011 to design a billboard. You can get your artwork in-game by designing a billboard for Paragon City. The COH team has explained a great way to find inspiration:

Well, imagine that a new business is setting up shop in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, and that you've been hired to create their signage. Your task is to invent a brand-new ad campaign, displayed on a billboard, to promote a product, retailer, restaurant chain, in-lore political candidate, or service of your own devising (or based on lore) that you've always wanted to see in the game!

There will be three winners chosen and each one is slated to recieve an awesome list of prizes! So head on over to the City of Heroes official page for full details on how to submit your entries!

Cyber Monday is just around the corner and City of Heroes has stepped up with some major deals! Players who sign up for 6 months of game time will get a 7th month free! Players who sign up for a 12 month subscription will get a 13th and 14th month free! That's two whole free months!

Paragon Studios has released a detailed overview of the City of Heroes Incarnate System. A complete, complex look at the new system has been posted on the Going Rogue expansion website. Players can learn how to unlock incarnate slots for their heroes and how to fill those slots with amazing new powers.

NCsoft has just released the City of Heroes Origins Booster pack, now on sale at the NCsoft store. What's more impressive than a really awesome cape? Not much, and that is why the new booster pack offers capes from all five City of Heroes Origins. Choose from nature, science, technology, magic or mutant to help tell your charatcers tale through their appearance.

The Origins Booster Pack also offers new auras to make your character even more epic. So head on over to the NCsoft store and get your booster pack for $9.99.

Almost every MMO is running Halloween events this time of year and NCsoft's games are no exception! Take a peek at all the spooky stuff happening in the world of NCsoft.

Aion: The Harvest Revel event started today and is going on until November 10. Players need to help find the stolen candy taken by the Sugarcrooks. Visit the official Aion site for full details on how to start the spooky quest and help save the lollipops!

City of Heroes: Zombies, and monsters, and candy, oh my! Zombies and monsters have run amok in-game and it's up to you to restore order! Join in on the Zombie Hunt and Monster Hunt, and don't forget to go trick-or-treating as well! The events are currently taking place and will go until October 31 at 11:59pm PDT.

Looks like City of Heroes is ready to roll out some new cosmetic additions on November 3, 2010, with their new "Origins" booster pack. Featuring ten cool auras and five new capes, each corresponding to a specific character origin. While there doesn't appear to be a price affixed to this new pack, it is assumed that this pack will be available for purchase in the NCsoft store.

The accessories available:

• Nature: Autumnal Cape, Leaves Aura and Thunderhead Aura.
• Science: Unified Field Facade Cape, Atomic Aura and Cryogenic Aura.
• Technology: Impervium Mantle Cape, Steamjets Aura and Sparks Aura.
• Magic: Cloak of the Eight Circle Cape, Runes Aura and Tarot Cards Aura.
• Mutant: Spliced Cape, Bio Plasma Aura and Toxic Vapors Aura.

Paragon Studios has released a new trailer for the upcoming Issue 19: Alpha Strike. The new Issue will include loads of new content for players of all levels. For higher level players, Issue 19 will provide new Task Forces and events that reveal more of the Praetorian invasion storyline. The newest Issue also offers alternate animantion for character powers, two new free auras, new badges, and more.

City of Heroes will be hosting their fifth and final meet and greet of 2010 on November 6. This time they will be taking over the Elephant and Castle in San Francisco, California. The event will go from 6 pm to 12 am. Several members of the dev team will be there to answer questions and attendees can look forward to round table discussions and special presentations.
