I'm going to end up going with a human female. There's an outside chance I go with an elven female. If there end up being some decent beard options, a human male could be in there too. I just don't ******* know.

What server you all going to be on?
I guess I'm going to roll on Ultros. I don't really have a plan. If a bunch of people from my old FFXI LS roll somewhere else, I might go join them, but the main people I'd want to play with are probably sticking to FFXI. It'll be a tough decision if they ever do make the switch and roll on a different server than I do. I ******* loved running events with them.
Ultros will be populated by a bunch of old Alla people (including Wint) who were in the LS Loot Whorin' Drama Fest on Asura (formerly Lakshmi). I'm still not sure if I'll be playing at launch, but I should be playing some in phase 4 (and phase 3, but we're on a different server right now until phase 4 starts).

I have no motivation to do stuff in WoW now that I've decided I want to play FF14. 
Heh, that's unfortunate. I'm still actively raiding in WoW so gotta keep going there. I'm actually still not sold on XIV, it depends on how many of my WoW guild mates will be playing (if the 4-5 I think are going to play actually play, then I probably will).

I'm waiting to see what the reaction is around here, myself. If enough of the folks here play it and actually enjoy it, I'll probably pick it up, as will my roommate.

Well, you get the game itself for free, I'm pretty sure. And if you paid subscription for like 90 days I think, you get Legacy status, which reduces the monthly payment to $10. I think all 1.0 players get ARR for free, and Legacy players get lowered payment, and early access.

We've been having to pug a dps the last few weeks due to one of our regulars being busy studying for the bar exam.

We'll see. I did make an Alliance DK on your server. Maybe I'll just level her up. I don't really feel like paying for a transfer.
It's not so terrible, now that mounts and everything are account-wide.

Yea, that's hardly worth it. Maybe you should just play some XIV. I hear that starting next week they'll be letting people play on the weekdays.

I'm playing on Durandal, because I didn't do a server change before the launch, oh wells.
Bunch of my Skype friends are on here though, so that's alright with me.

I'm on Ultros, and my PLD is 34 already.
It amuses me that it's $10 cheaper on Amazon for the PC vs PS3 version.

Yea, **** tanks. Also they get short queues. Being a dps is fun but it sucks sometimes :(.

Considering starting up FFXIV after Spring semester (i.e. Summer 2014), but my XI LS are all on Ragnarok. Is there easy server-hopping so I can has both?
