I think it might be by the same guy, I know there was talk of him making another game after Candy Box, but I dunno. It's certainly similar.

Well, I beat it. The mid-game was really fun, having to manage resources and going out adventuring, but then the end-game got tedious as new things to make stopped showing up and adventuring got stale. Then the ending itself was confusing and boring. :(

Cool game, 4 hours later, a nomad finally shows up, i buy a compass, see i see have all the weapons and stuff i had before, but oh wait, only 10 water, oops, i went too far, lost everything.
