Just picking up a controller for Halo 4 makes you terrible. Also, I wasn't aware there was a Halo 4.
Quick story about Halo 3:
When Halo 3 came out, I had just started taking Ambien to sleep, and I was still unaware that it made me sleep-(walk, play games, cook). Meanwhile, everyone else didn't realize I was asleep doing those things; they just thought I was really groggy and out of it late at night, but not actually asleep. So when my little brother wanted to play Halo 3 with me after just buying it, I was sleepcooking ramen in the kitchen, but apparently agreed to play with him.
I spent most of the game stealing vehicles and driving them off cliffs over and over, while laughing uncontrollably. I think I played online doing this as well.

Yes, but I have gotten to enjoy "high quality" reenactments!
Also, Ambien is weird like that. If you take it and then don't go to bed, it has very strange effects including anterograde amnesia (i.e. you don't retain new memories, like in Memento). So if you see someone walking around acting strange on Ambien, they could either be awake and high on it (but won't remember it in the morning), or they could be sleepwalking. In the cases of sleepwalking, I don't remember anything, but in the cases where I'm still awake (often because if I don't go to bed immediately I get a bad case of the munchies and will eat food before wandering off to bed), I can sometimes remember pieces. In those cases it's typically just a snapshot where I don't remember why I'm doing what I'm doing, but I remember a span of about 2-3 seconds of doing it.
So when I was playing with my little brother, I don't remember it at all, but when I was playing online, I took it while I was still playing (to try to force myself to go to bed), and after the drugs kicked in I remember (mainly) spinning in a circle holding the trigger down at my spawn point. I was actually playing online with a co-worker that time, so I had fun explaining that to him the next day at work.

I've always had trouble falling asleep at night and this helps to a crazy degree, even with diminished efficacy. The amnesic side effects can be annoying, but not nearly as annoying as getting the following message from your brain.
Plus, before your memory blanks out completely, you do get a mellow sort of euphoria. It's not the sort of feeling that makes you want to go out and party, it mainly makes you want to eat something tasty while watching TV (and drift off to sleep). Which can be pretty nice.

I remember playing hours upon hours upon hours of Halo 2 online. I only recently got a 360 so I've never played Halo 3, ODST, or Reach. I'll run through the campaigns on Normal for ***** and giggles at some point.
I've never played beyond Halo 1, which I never finished, now that I think about it.
I just played through the HD remake, which was awesome. They did a nice job updating the textures.

I'm not really a fan of CoD/BF, but I enjoy the sci-fi setting of Halo.
Yea, that was what made Halo playable for me. It's not that the genre is bad per se, I am just terrible at it and thus don't find it as fun. Halo however kept my interest for a while in the campaign.
