Also, how many of you all are on Asura, and are you in the same LS? My LS on Carby seems to only have about 5 people now, so maybe I'd be able to convince them to make the jump.
Wint, Olor, and myself are in the same LS, along with a few other people not from ZAM. All in all, there are 15ish of us who play regularly I think. We would love to have more people that we know (and that we know are good), so you're welcome to bring people with you. We do scheduled stuff most Friday nights and sometimes other random times, and of course those who are on at any given time during the day will get together to get stuff done. (We are a social shell, but are firm believers in helping each other out with stuff and have gotten a collective 7-8 empyrean weapons for each other as well as missions/voidwatch/other random gear.)

Plus, who wouldn't want to be in a LS called LootwhorinDramafest?

I'm an Asura OG, yo. I'm also in a LS (Machina) but you guys can still make with friend requests or something. I'm Seamus.

I think I'll play the wait and see game. I cancelled last year in March and haven't really looked back. I might not even be able to get my login information, much less my alts login information. Oh mang, dual boxing again just sounds like waaaaaay too much effort.

i came back..standing in a FC party right now. Hope it gets my to 99 on my Warrior (from like 86).
Then I get to skill up! I hear DRG is all good? But I hate gearing up, I literally have no clue on the subject. I never have the "right" job to get papers, and hate leeching of old LS friends. However that is what I'll probably have to do if they have any open nights.

I should get around to fixing my PC. Smiley: lol

I don't even know what is really useful anymore. My plan is to get BRD BLM and DRK to 99. Maybe later on I'll get my PLD BLU WAR and MNK leveled, but those are the three jobs I really want to play again (BLU would top the list if I felt like learning spells). I am hoping that one of the three I want to level will be usable in farming for AF3 upgrades.

BLM/BRD is good because if you have all the spells and songs, you have all the Yellow Triggers (iirc from last time i played).
WAR is needed, but you basically need to skill up every weapon it can touch. It seems to be the money maker too if you can career FFXI. Doing FC parties and charging 500+ 8/hr usually nets you a full alliance (managed to not only hit 99 last night, but also get 30 merits), just need decent gear.

It seems ( i only quit like 8 months ago, to play starwars) PLD and RNG are still not really played, and somewhere DRG became awesome if you do the trials for one of it's weapons (Relic I think..i dunno, didn't really like doing trials >.>)

You actually need WHM BLM/BRD and BLU/NIN to cover all grellows. BLM/BRD will give you the vast majority of them, though.

DRG is awesome with the OA2 lance, or Ryunohige (lolgoodluck). The new Valkyrie's Fork (forget what it's called) is good too.

I'll refer you to this thread for the DRG weapons (Herja's fork is the new valkyrie's, and Chauve-Souris is referring to the OAT magian polearm). Also of note, DRG is very useful in voidwatch (as are a lot of jobs that weren't useful at all in abyssea), but a lot of the gear you're going to want to get early on will still require abyssea, so I recommend having a job that is good for seal and +2 farming.

Also Spoonless, every time I've looked for you online, you haven't been there. Smiley: motz
