I was going to buy Premium but I'm really not happy with some of the **** on Zam, so I'm not going to support it with money.

So, maybe I'll use /K/ as my personal weightloss journal. Smiley: lol

Recently, I was the fattest I've ever been, at 240lbs. I'm 5'8" so that's basically really ******* fat. I've gotten this way via a pretty sedentary lifestyle and horrible horrible eating habits. Days of nothing except coffee followed by me eating a large pizza in one sitting. That type of ****.

Anyway, I started making trips to the market on my way home from work, and buying just stuff for one or two meals. Instead of doing one big shopping where I stock up the fridge and then eat a lot for a couple days and nothing for the following, I'm spreading my meals out a lot better.

Plus, stopping at the market and buying something for dinner stops me from hitting any of the 10 or so fast food joints on my ride home. I'm walking more, and got my bicycle fixed up.

Over the past two weeks, I've dropped 5lbs. So, I'm at 235 now which is still really ******* fat but it's going in the right direction. I'd like to get down to the 170-180 range.

I was thinking about taking a photo a day for the next year and making a time-lapse of my weight loss progress. I know it's been done before, but I'm sure it'd be interesting to me.

You could buy premium again and upload pics here. Smiley: tongue

Maybe after a year, so at least there should be a decent-looking human being at the end of it. Though to be honest, I'd probably reverse it at the end and then loop it in a .gif so I'm perpetually gaining and losing the weight.

Also, I'll probably go post over on r/loseit since they seem to be a pretty good community.

I've been eating horrible again lately, back up to 207lbs. I think going home to my parents' and eating a large meal (like Easter, etc.), ***** up my progress in portion control.

I've also not been taking walks every night, though I'll fix that starting tonight.

I might be telling you a lot that you already know, but it can't hurt.

It can be hard to do a lot of the right things, but it should be at least a little easier to not do so many wrong things.

I keep very few bad foods on hand. If I want a donut, not only do I not have any on hand, but I'm not even entirely sure where to buy a donut. That's a lot of fudging effort to go through just to get a donut. You don't have to be a food **** and discard everything the slightest bit unhealthy, but the food you buy is the food you eat. If you buy a frozen pizza to have as an emergency dinner, you're going to eat it sooner or later.

I try to avoid processed food. Again, no heiling Hitler. I eat burgers for lunch fairly regular and have an overly sugary cereal bar at breakfast. But I also don't have any soda, mac & cheese, premade meals. For snacks I've got a variety of fruit and nuts, yogurt, cheese and crackers. For dinenr I do chicken and rice, vegetable soups, or stir fry.

Mostly, I learn to do the best with what I can live with, and remain conscious of my choices. I don't like the idea of healthy eating being a drastic event or a chore. It shouldn't be about breaking bad habits so much as modifying them. What is probably the worst thing you eat most days? Why are you eating it? Can you swap in something else?

See, not knowing where to go to buy something is impossible for where I am. I live near a major crossroads in my city, and there are just about every fast food joint, donut houses, etc. right there. Literally less than a half mile radius.

My biggest improvement has been stopping at the market after work for enough food for one or two meals. Once I have it in hand, I'm not tempted to stop at one of those joints.

My biggest problem right now is probably not eating. I typically don't eat any food until dinner time. I'll have coffee and maybe an orange juice throughout the day but I generally don't eat breakfast.

I like healthy foods, I like to cook. The one thing that I was doing that was terrible was binging. It's OK to have a piece of pizza. It's not OK to eat an entire large pizza in one sitting by myself, with 6 or 8 beers to boot.

I recommend /r/loseit. It helped me stay motivated to get under 200 lbs. I could stand to lose more, but I reached my first goal at least.

yeah I haven't weighed myself in a while but I must be around 200 lbs and I've gained in the last little while (I can tell both by how my pants fit and how fat my face looks)

I really want to get exercising but the issue for me is boredom in terms of running on a treadmill or around in circles. Plus I have multiple problems with my feet that make running suck period.

I looked into joining a wrestling team (loved the sport in high school) only to find out there are NO adult wrestling teams. So that was really discouraging.

My girlfriend goes to the gym every morning monday to friday. I've been thinking about trying to tag along 3 days a week to do bike and weights ... I think if I just exercised those 3 days and stuck with my new loose "rule" of not drinking more than 4 days a week, I'd drop a number of lbs.

For me it isn't as much about the weight as it is about feeling good about being able to do physical activity. I'm actually fairly active in that I don't drive, I only bike/walk - so that does help a bit, but I want to be able to handle more sustained physical activity - I'd especially like to be able to dance again, through more than one song before getting totally exhausted and feeling like I am going to have a heart attack

Jogging sucks, but I've managed to semi-maintain a schedule of using walking for getting my cardio in. That and a moderate workout of 3 different exercises every other day hasn't yielded phenomenal weight loss but overall I feel healthier for it. Maybe try to get more walking in since jogging doesn't work for you?

That sounds like a good plan. Hrm. I just wish that my gf didn't go to the gym so damn early. At 7 am I want to read twitter or kill zombies on diablo... not do cardio

You shouldn't be doing anything at 7 A.M. other than sleeping like a log. Just take a walk in the evening. It doesn't really matter when you do it so long as you can do it consistently.
